    I'm still debating... I'm leaning towards a 95 or 96 for a prerunner project.

If I end up deciding on the new Bronco, I'd get a Wildtrak.

I am pleasantly surprised with what Ford did with the Bronco. They stuck to their guns and didn't pull a Blazer treatment like Chevy. They created 2 different models; one for the purists, another for the badge posers... I mean, the baseball dads... I mean soccer moms... I mean the suburban warriors... Actually, badge posers was right.

I personally like the looks and the tools they added for offroad. Not a fan of Ford though due to reliability but will see how they turn out.

400 lb/ft of torque and a 4.7 gear set, oof. Im not buying one because I want a truck bed, but that combo sounds lovely. These things should will make our Tundras feel sleepy, if theyre anything like the Rangers with a tune they'll be a blast. 5 Star tuned the 2.3l to a 5.5 second 0-60, cant wait to see what the 2.7l comes out to.

For what I like to do, Tundra isn't the best option. A Bronco would be WWWAAAYYY better. I only got rid of my 95 because it smelled of mold and gasoline and was making my partner sick. Her asthma would start bothering her when we were in it for too long. It was smarter to buy a pickup truck vs finish that project at the time. The only reason I own a Tundra is because Ivan Stewart Ironman'd the Baja 1000 in a Toyota and I had a poster of that truck in my bedroom as a kid. All the other positive things about it are just bonuses.

I didn't and won't. I don't buy first year models, especially if they are Fords.

I like the look of the bronco and the jeep. Too bad I like reliability as well. I’ll stick to my 2 FJ’s and the tundra

I did the $100 reservation for a Black Diamond with the Sasquach package. Ended up canceling it and getting my money back because my delivery date kept getting pushed out. With the region I live in my dealer and ford said I would be real close to 2022 before it would even be inbound for production.

Man I'm really thinking about trading my tundra for a new bronco. We have 3 vehicles currently and my wife and I are working from home until sept when I go back to the office but my wife will continue to be from home. Point being I could afford to wait on their back log.

I LOVE my tundra but it's also a compromise for what I really like to do which is hit the trails. I've improved it , leveled, 33s tires , wheels and a camper shell, but to go that next step will require quite a few more mods , (read quite a bit more money) rock rails, locker 35s etc. . I'm looking at the bronco thinking, I could buy a black diamond and add a 2 in lift and 37s and have EVERYTHING I want and hit all the trails I want to as soon as I get it for about the trade price of my tundra. Sure the kayak would be a pain, and I'd have to get a small trailer for truck stuff but, the bulk of how I use my tundra is offroading......... talk to me goose.

Do it. For most of us that run technical trails, the Tundra is a compromise. Because we want something for home depot trips. Because pickup trucks are cool. Access on tight, technical trails is an issue. The break over SUCKS big time.

You'll get all these people cryin about "muh reliabilitah!" Thug life bro. I drove so many things with WAY too much horsepower back in the day. I've rebuilt 6 engines in my daily drivers. If you can hack it, go for it. I'm sure it'll be amazing. At the end of days, you won't think about why you didn't go, only that you didn't.

Yea I mean I live in utah. Moab is a mere 3.5 hours. There's so many trails in moab I CANT do right now and its killing me. Even if I made the tundra more capable there's still a large portion of trails I couldn't do without beating my rig hard.west desert is in my backyard. So many possibilities. Tbh my wife wants another pickup anyway(doesn't like her lexus) so she will likely end up with another anyway. Alo reminds me of my old beach rig. I'd have to get a 4 door though

Since you live in Utah, you can go 2 ways. Keep the Tundra, get LT and go full desert blaster, or buy something like a Bronco or Jeep and hit those technical crawl trails. Either way, it will be one hell of a ride.

Yea I can't justify LT on the tundra. The tundra resale would essentially pay for the bronco black diamond entirely. Then I just would want a 2 in lift and 37s and call it a day. The other route is alot more time work and money invested than I think I want.

Plus the trails I want are the technical crawl trails. From The looks of it the bronco can also hold its own in desert environment as well

They're like the Mustang Mach-E, use the name to boost sales, while also diminishing the weight behind the name. The Bronco Sports are just a rebodied Explorer essentially, don't even have a low range or skids. I see a shit load of them around here though.

I'm considering a new Bronco, the wife wants a new vehicle since her 2003 4Runner is nearing 300k and getting old. It'd be cool to get something a bit more capable since all our vehicles inevitably go offroad when we go to Sand Hollow, and they look sweet I think! SAS and 40s anyone :monocle:

The ones you're seeing are supposed to be, the only one released so far is the bronco sport which is like a rav4 competitor. Imo to reduce confusion should have called it the bronco 2. Anyone from the 80s knew the bronco 2 was weak sauce lol
