You just need one that fits tight onto the screw so have an assortment ready. Your just trying to stop the aft from seeping past the screw.

The last one I worked on was about 15 years ago that came in with a leaking fuel tank from rust. There was no aftermarket tank available and the OE tanks was around 2K if I remembered correctly. The customer scrapped the truck.

One must know. I ve asked several questions on this thread, and wasn t answered once. The title of your thread implies a question is all that s needed to get an answer, but it s simply not true, so if you want to talk about rude...

I can't answer every question. I do have other things to do. I'm not sure how not answering a question would be considered rude but profanity on the other would be.

OK. So let s talk about rudeness. If I m to beileve your reasoning then let me ask you this; do you read every question that s posted on this thread that s directed to the "mechanic"? Because if you do read every question, and don t at least convey to the questioner that you can t answer, then that s rude. If you don t read every question directed toward the "mechanic" then that s rude.

If you were to swerve the vehicle side to side transfering weight from left to right would it make the noise?

Dude, or Jack if you prefer, step off your high horse, get your panties out of a bunch, pull up your big boy pants, suck it up, put it behind you, ask your question again - nicely - and I'm sure @Ruggybuggy would set aside a little of his time to try to assist you. Acting like a little spoiled child is not the right way to get help from anybody.

If that is your Question about By-passing a safety system to get the Air Bags working again because you removed part of it there are a couple of things First is Liability to tell someone how to By-pass a safety system (Air bags) is Not something he should answer. Second Item is you have to Reset the computer that controls the Air bag system it is not just something you can toss a couple wires in and "hey we good to go" So most Body shops have that ability to do the Reset.

Why the "mechanic" didn t answer something like that is beyond me. In fact no one said anything until I said f*ck in a post. My questions on page 55, and 58 were harmless.

I'm sure Tundras.com and @Ruggybuggy would be quite happy to give you a full refund if you are not 100% satisfied.

My truck surges while off the gas in drive, like when pulling into a parking spot. Also the engine races occasionally when going from reverse to drive. Is this normal? My 2016 Tacoma had similar issues but were eventually resolved by a change to the transmission TSB/program change, I think.

Edit: could this be a symptom of the fuel pump issue that I received a recall notice for?

Edit 2: Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The two could certainly be connected, getting the recall sorted would be the first step that I would take.

2016 Tundra first in service date Sept. 23, 2016. 57,300 miles. No extended warranty.
I had P0037 code pop up yesterday & got it checked today. Bank 1, Sensor 2 O2Sensor. Truck is running normal w/no abnormalities. Do you know how long the warranty is on this O2 sensor? Is this the before or after Cat O2?
Just spoke w/local dealership. She said it only says "specific emissions parts are covered under the 84mo/80K mile warranty. The rest are under the 24mo/24K miles. A tech will have to check into it to tell you which it is so you'll need to make an appt.". I told her the part it was & what the code was but she offered zero more assistance so I have an appt. for Tuesday. The closest dealership is over 30 minutes away & she said it'll take 1.5hrs to diagnose so I'm looking @ ~3 hours for them to answer a question.
    Thanks.

The service writer have very little knowledge and most have been told not to give info out.

Bank 1 sensor 2 is the driver's side sensor after the cat. It should be under warranty. I wouldn't pay 1.5 hours to diag such a simple thing. It will only take them about 10min to determain the code.

I should add that the rear O2 sensors are just for emission monitoring and will not effect driveability.

Just the general stuff. Run the stock less aggressive tires at the correct tire pressure, keep the stock ride height, run 0w20 engine oil, keep the weight down by not adding heavy accessories and the biggest thing, drive with the intent of getting better fuel economy.

Question for you ruggybuggy if you have time ,
I posted a thread couple days ago about my tundra 2000 miles on it needing short block Assy
Due to a non serviceable part oil pipe on back of block pictures posted in thread ...
Have you seen any 5.7 with this issue in your shop, hopefully I can run across a fix
For this instead of engine replacement , I fill like there’s a repair for this
    That someone has ran across
    Thanks

I read though the thread and I've never seen the issue in our shop. We are a small dealership with only five techs. Maybe other larger shop techs could chime in? Even if that pipe could be repaired it would probably still require engine removal. Its pretty tight back there. Let them do the engine replacement and ask questions about the failure with pics. Very curious.
