My 2020 double cab Tundra came with the lighter shade gray cloth seats. After just a few rides with my kids I noticed that those covers were likely to get stained, even though I was trying to avoid that. We're fairly careful, but I'm not one to have a "no eating in the truck" rule, especially on a long trip.

So I started looking at seat covers, drawing most of my info from other owners on Tundras.com. I didn't want leather because I didn't want to install heaters, and unheated leather feels very cold in northern Minnesota winters.

There are lots of options for cloth covers, almost all of them cheaper than the Wet Okole's that I chose. But the owners here on the forum that had bought WO's convinced me that they were worth the price and now that I have them I agree. I would buy them again, but they're not without a few issues other than the high price.

First, you can't be in a hurry. It takes six weeks to get them from when you order them, and of course they charge your card right way.

Second, the install, while not necessarily difficult, is a bit involved and there are no instructions provided. They offer a video on their site, but it's not an install on a 2020 Tundra. As some guys here on the forum advised, I did the front seats first in an afternoon. Fitment was great. The covers slip on nice and tight as they should, so it takes a little while. I deviated just a little from the way they appeared to want me to anchor the bottom seat covers onto the rear side of the top seat covers with a Velcro strip they provide. This doesn't work well because of the large plastic filled flap on bottom of the back of our cloth bucket seats. I certainly didn't want to cut the large flap off since I want to have the option to return to the stock seat covers, so I anchored the flap as it had been and wrapped the bottom of the WO seat cover over the flap and hooked it also under the seat bottom. It may sound a bit unclear, but that's enough about that.

So the fronts came out great, and now time for the back!

The back seat must be removed to install the WO covers. This takes a little while, but it's not too bad. The hardest thing is trying to get the seat back re-hooked to the back wall of the cab when you're done.

The bottoms are pretty straight forward and easy, though there appears to be no way to tuck the cover inside the edge of the moulding around the levers that allow us to raise the seat. So I left mine untucked. Looks fine.

The top of the back seat install is just a little challenging because it seems to me that Wet Okole has not updated their openings for the headrest posts on the outboard sides of the seat back. For one thing the openings are a bit small (had the use a screwdriver to get them tucked in around the headrest post moulding). Thought they might rip, but they didn't. Then the spacing between the posts was off. Maybe earlier Tundra DC's had slightly wider spaced back headrest posts, but the fit ended up being rather poor and loose:

But when the headrest went back on it looked fine:

They provide a neoprene cover for the center console that seems useless to me.

I like the Wet Okoles, and I would do it again. Two tone isn't for everyone, but I like it. The red is a little darker than it looks in pictures, so it matches Barcelona Red well. You can get solid black if you want, of course.

The only downside I see so far is the cover on the backs of the front seats does puff out just a little from the stock cover. Though I like the amount of room in a Tundra DC back seat just fine, you can't call them roomy. With the new WO's my knees brush the back of the driver's seat when it's adjusted for my position (I'm 6'2"). So the new covers do diminish my back seat leg room just a little, but I don't ride back there much, and my girls are shorter than me.

Total cost with shipping was around $800, but if you order solid color with no custom logos they're a lot cheaper. Probably too much, but I'm going to drive this truck a long time as far as I know!

If there were anywhere on Earth to have seat heaters, it would be anywhere near the Canadian border in winter!

Which is where I am! I've had lots of vehicles with seat heaters, but I don't miss them when I have cloth seats. For my first 100 cars or so, there was no such thing as seat heaters.

It's the same reason we did not lay tile on our bathroom floors here in Colorado when we remodeled. It would have come with a $1k+ bill to install floor heaters.

Check the build link in my signature.
I had WO’s in my 2008. Put them in around 16k miles, and they were still in good shape at 297k (not new looking any more, but still pretty good).

I did the same thing you did on the uppers got them front seats. And I remember the head rest hills being “off” a little too.

when I had my back seat out, I also did the rear seat fold down mod. It doesn’t give you much room, but you can stay a few essentials back there that are easier to get to with the seat down.

Great idea! There is a little wasted space back there. It'll have to wait till spring, though, because the Arctic already has us in it's grip here in northern Minnesota.
