You can use a phillip screwdriver straight down in to the splined gizmo where the 8mm is. There is a channel for the screw driver shaft.

I replaced my 2018 halogen's and thought the improvement was huge in every possible way including beam width.

Yeah I was reading up on ways to improve the lightning and it seemed like a lot of people weren’t happy with led bulbs. I really didn’t want to spend $700+ on headlights for a brand new vehicle but the stock halogens sucked so bad it was really a safety concern.

I put “clear” tint on my windshield to block UV. It blocks a very small amount of light so I may have it worse than others but I’ve done the same to all my other vehicles and never had this issue.

The pro led has black on the inside where the other led has chrome. Otherwise they are the same. In my opinion, only noticeable if you’re looking for it.

I love the daytime on the halogens better better than the pros, so I need some help with headlight replacement bulbs . Any suggestions that could match the leds the pros put out?

If you need to adjust them again, there is a funnel looking channel on the the top. Stick a Phillips screwdriver down that channel to adjust the light. I just did this same set up

    I looked at all 3.

Cool springs/ lowest price per headlight, but charged shipping. Was going to go through them, but they had issues with their payment system so I couldn't check out, this may be resolved by now

Sparks/ about $19 more per headlight, but had free shipping making them the cheapest option

HR/ most expensive didn't consider them at all

I don’t know why they still call these pro headlights. That’s old news. If you get the OR or sport package, you get these lights.
I have them on my 2020 TRD OR.
Mine are exactly like the pros.
The do not have the chrome as posted in the “ultimate parts thread” I think they changed this for 2020

There are chrome, black chrome and blacked out headlights. I believe the only one with blacked out lights is the pro, and the other trims have chrome or black chrome but I could be wrong on that.

I was at the dealer recently checking out the differences between the headlights when I was purchasing my truck.
I definitely don’t have black chrome or any chrome trim on my headlights. (20 TRD OR)
I have black chrome trim on my Tacoma lights so I can compare the difference.
It’s all gloss black like the Pro. It had me puzzled... could I have PRO headlights?
Maybe Toyota realized how silly it was to manufacture 2 almost identical lights and then just made 1? Gloss black is cheaper to produce than black chrome.

that’s what I have. My dealer messed up my order and did not order the pro led.
I decided to keep them since the grill has the black chrome honeycomb.

The pros have a blacked out bezel, otherwise the same light. I put them on my 2017 Platinum recently- huuuuge upgrade over the stock incandescents.

Sorry, not trying to highjack the thread. Am I correct in assuming the lights are the LED with the strip on them (the Pros)? Are people also upgrading to the rigid fogs?

I hear you. I actually ordered the ‘wrong’ housings. I meant to get the TRD Pros but ended up ordering these by mistake. I have no reservations about keeping the black chrome housings though. They are extremely nice looking and are a whole bunch of cuts above the stock halogens they replaced. Fits my look better anyway since I’m not aiming for full, incognito, black out mode.

Are there any years/models of the Led lights that won’t work with certain model years or with the Ihacker harness? Looking to do this on my 2014 Sr5.
