Got my headlights in today, oem led trd pro headlights. Installation was a breeze with @iHacker harness. Sooooo much brighter than stock, I put a coat of turtle wax on each headlight before Installation to combat uv rays and prevent hazing. Yes... I know my truck is dirty, its getting washed tomorrow.

Sweet, looks good! I got the same setup and love it. What tow mirrors are those? Do you have a link?

I don't have the link. I got them off ebay. Gm style mirrors without the chrome. I love them. The lens on them hold moisture sometimes but I'm not too picky. They do their job well and look good doing it!

The headlights look great! My only qualm with them is that going down narrow country roads or logging roads they send the beam straight forward, there is NO lighting to the sides, so making tight turns you are essentially blind. Fog lights have really helped in that regard though.

Really? I think they have much better side lighting than the stock lights, but the forward facing beam is much brighter than the sides. When driving with fields on both sides of the road I was amazed at the amount of light that was coming from the sides and illuminating the field

The driver side is solid, passenger shakes just a little bit, probably just need to tighten it down more. They don't have the puddle lamps but I plan on taking them off my stock mirrors and fitting them to these.

Is this basically a straight bolt in plug and play with his harness? Looks 10x better with those headlights

    Awesome!
It makes a world of a difference in just overall looks even with the lights off. Plus the added benefit of the LED's :hattip:

Its not "hard" but it isn't just a matter of plugging the new lights into the old harness. There are 2 options, the easy one or the hard one. The easy one is very close to a simple plug and play using the iHacker harness in between the new lights and the old harness but the LED DRL's stay on full brightness even with the headlights on (they don't dim like they are supposed to) and I could honestly see that being an issue, the DLR's are very bright and they scatter light everywhere. The "harder" installation makes the headlights work the way they do on the new trucks where the DRL dims when the headlights are turned on. it requires running a wire back through the firewall (that's the hardest part for a guy like me with big hards) and depinning a plug and adding a pin (I think) to another plug. I'd say its a 3/10 for difficulty for an average joe, but I'd say its a 5/10 for cursing and swearing and regretting your decision to do it. Once its done though you will be happy, it looks and acts like OEM and doesnt look like a 17 year old pot head did it and got lazy half way through.

Definitely the next mod I'm doing. Since adding the Rigid LED fog lights the headlights are an embarrassment for brightness even though I currently run the PIAA Extreme White bulbs. Thanks for sharing!

With this harness its 100% plug and play, only thing different is the excess wiring from the harness adapter, I had to push the headlight into place while finessing the harness where I wanted it and zip tied it in places I felt were needed.

Wish I woulda done this mod before my bilstein 6112/5160 set up, but I got those on sale and couldn't pass it up. I've been wanting to do this mod since I got the truck and I'm soooooo happy with it, even though my truck isn't a beauty queen with the dents and scratches, I get butterflies seeing these headlights on it! I'll give it another day or two before I get on my gfs nerves from saying how good they look :D

I'm debating on the fog lights right now because I'm probably gonna pick up the Rough Country DIY pre runner bumper that you gotta weld up and then go from there. It doesn't take standard fog lights so I'm gonna wait till I get it to make a move on those. My fog lights now put out yellow lights and it looks terrible with my shiny new led headlights

Got my pro headlights last week. Just order the ihacker harness which should be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to tackle this project to go along with the oem led fogs I got.

How long did it take you to install the harness? Photos with the lights on? My truck looks similar to yours so anxious to see the lamps on.

Harness takes only a couple minutes, I zip tied one connector together per the instructions. I'll get a photo tomorrow, I'm in for the night right now. Only took me about 35 min to remove the old lights and install the new ones, including height adjustment. I moved the washer fluid tank out of the way to get an 8mm wrench on the height adjustment, the driver side was easier to adjust. I changed the bulbs in my old lights earlier this year so I already knew the process to remove them and it really sped things up!

if you do the "harder" method to make the DRL's dim it adds time. It took me a couple of hours, but I installed fog lights and a harness for the foglights and a switch on my dahsboard at the same time.

I will send another post with a before and after...the "after" has the new black headlights (not the smoked chrome) fog lights and a new grill and wheels. I dont have one with the lights turned on, but I can if you need me to

For the trd pro lights its was 303 a light, so 606 w/free shipping from sparks, harness was 100

I assume you’re Canadian, I paid I think 400CAD or so each for the lights, and the harness was I think 110 plus 20 or something for shipping to Canada.

I recently bought a 2020 SR5 and the first time driving at night was miserable. I just ordered the TRD Pro headlights. Can’t wait to be able to drive and actually see!

This was my experience with my 2019, couldn’t believe how crappy the OEM halogens were. I tried first to install LED bulbs and didn’t think it was much improvement. The TRD Pro LED headlights are awesome - one of the best mods I’ve done.

My 2021 Limited that should be in soon, comes with led headlights and fog lights. Is there a difference between them and the pro headlights?
