Never messed with a waterproof laminate but I have the luxury vinyl flooring and it has been very forgiving when I had my older lab when she was having issues and I was having to clean up quite a bit after her. Then I got a puppy so it was doing double duty. Still looked great and no warping

It was super easy to install

    Cute pups,

And you have no problems with fluid penetrating the seams?

I think we have the same flooring. Water proof and scratch resistant. Floors are a little lighter than this nighttime pic shows

They look damn similar if they aren’t. It’s CoreTec brand. I forget the color Pit approved

I used to sell coretec, it’s good stuff!
They had some hiccups a handful of years ago but they got it all straightened out and it’s a solid product.

I’m going to have a lot for this thread soon. Closing on my new house Dec 1 and starting my remodel the following week. Can’t wait. Was out there this morning to take some measurements. I’m really going to enjoy the view.

Still fighting the front yard. Made good progress over the last few days. Got the large part of the yard cleared of crabgrass/weeds/allsortsofshit. I started moving the dirt piles and leveling that part and dig up the walkway border of the smaller part of the yard.

The root system of this stuff is like trying to dig through a whicker basket that’s buried in clay.

Woke up to a leaking water heater today, had a feeling it was coming because i thought i saw some steam coming from it the other day. :annoyed: I replaced this last one about 8 years ago and think i made a big mistake by using an insulation wrap on it. I've replaced a few water heaters in my day, but have never seen one rust out like this one did. While standing in a puddle drinking my coffee, i had the great idea to ditch this oil fired POS and replace it with an electric unit since i already had a dedicated 35 Amp 220 box 4' away from an A/C unit i removed when i bought the house. A trip to Home Depot, $700.00, and a few hours later, hot showers for all.

AC ducting has been re-routed due to the soffit removal. Three new ceiling registers were installed in place of what was removed. Registers have the adjustable curved blades with the OBD damper. Still need to fill in the old hole in the wall where one was removed.

Protip: box in those register cans. They want to move when you put the grill on if it's just mounted on one side.

Put up lights today for the first time. I’ve always been the Scrooge, but did this for my boys this year. A wee bit early, but yesterday was dry so I had to take advantage of the dry weather.

Got top valence on my kitchen cabinets done. Crown molding goes up to finish them to the ceiling next - probably Wednesday. Then some open shelves to fill in the open spaces.

If you’re asking me, that’s the original flooring from when we built the house 15 years ago. It is a laminate, wide plank made to look like old oak barn wood. Brand is Berry Flooring, but they don’t make that line any more (which has made it a bit of a pain to match when we’ve ripped out carpet in other rooms and re-done them). With this remodel, we decided not to redo the floors since this flooring goes through the kitchen, dining, entry, office, and powder bath. Too much work to rip all that out. I did, however, cut it back from under the cabinets (original cabinets were installed over the flooring) so we can more easily replace in the future...
