Not my experience when I test drove a Chevy Trailboss with a 10-speed. Horrific hesitation shifting and hunting gears. No thanks. I actually find you get more for your money with the lower grades with Tundras than the domestics. Maybe the higher end packages give you more - but it’s a freaking truck.

The more gears you have in a transmission the more it will naturally shift. Also the complexity and the likelihood of a malfunction is increased. IMO 6 speeds is enough.

Maybe just throw a 2 speed power glide in the tundra.... it worked in the 56 Bel Air I grew up riding in and that car weighed at a minimum 147 tons conservatively.

Let's get rid of the fake hood scoops and actually install one thats functional. Get them engine and trans temps lowered!

That's the exact reason I got the '07 when it first came out. You could get a big, high HP v8, without having to buy a special package that included a bunch of bells and whistles that I didn't really need (or could afford at the time).

Well I’m eating crow and bought a sequoia pro. Stupid high trade in value on the tundra and $9k off sticker on the sequoia.

    I can confirm this.
I know a guy that knows a guy who had to push his new Sequoia Pro everywhere, on the plus side his trans temps were crazy low.

100% fact, but the automatic retracting floorpan door with coil heaters makes you the envy of all as you Fred Flintstone your way out of the dealership in your new ride.
