    So...

    Brand new white 21 tundra

I used lacquer thinner to remove painted pin stripes.

luckily I only did the front fender before I realized that the dye literally made my fender look like a highlighter.

I didn’t realize it was a terrible idea to use a yellow microfiber.

I hope someone can help here recommending a polish or compound to use.

Post up a pic. Maybe try rubbing alcohol on a white terry cloth

Dawn dishsoap is a degreaser and might help it. It might remove your clear coat so you might need to rewax it after. But I agree, start with rubbing alcohol too.

Been there before. Isopropyl alcohol on terry cloth rag as noted above.

Confirming that IPA will remove wax, but the CC should be okay.

    Yup. You will needto rewax.

Did this on my old tacoma..used red rag and isopropyl to get pitch offthe hood. Then had to use a white rag to remove the red.

Btw.. keep the iso off any vinyl, like flat black..itll add a sheen to it..ask me how I know. :)

I have not heard of this one yet. In the event you need a polish, you should be able to buy Meguiars Ultimate Polish locally. If not, call local auto parts stores, or shops that supply automotive paint, and see of they have some Meguiars M205. You will need to re-apply any wax once you're done.

What part of it seems wrong? There are some guys who still do painted pinstriping.....most use a stencil. Once in a while, you find someone with the skill to do it freehand.

Ya the stripes were definitely painted on.

honestly I got rid of most of it but in my mind I can still see a hue.

either way, lesson to all: only use white terry cloth with lacquer thinner!
