Bought my 2000 SR5 Tundra new 15 years ago. It's between excellent and pristine condition with 56xxx miles. Aside from a drunk hitting it while parked and the dog thinking the console cup holder was a chew toy, it's perfect. I see the new ones out there every day and say I want one. Then I say I don't want to give her up. I think I'll experience sellers remorse. Any thoughts in getting me over this hump? BTW, I can't have them both.

Don't test drive a new one unless your ready to buy one. I was just going to look and drove a 2015 home. Man, they are NICE!

Welcome. Hmm I'm thinking there has to be a way to keep both. 56,000 miles is very low for a 2000

Depends on what you want...I just bought a new Tacoma because I liked the size of my 1st gen Tundra and didn't want one as big as the new Tundras. The taco is pretty much the same in all dimensions as my 02 Tundra except it is 3" narrower. For me, the newer Tundra's are simply huge. I guess I was luck in that I have them both...Tundra is the work truck with the Taco being the new work truck (yeh right).....My 02 Tundra still books for about 10k so I would think yours would be close to that with the low miles (mine has 120k so still low for the age).

I know what you mean. 15 years ago I actually went in to buy a Tacoma and came away with the Tundra.

Thanks. I've considered that but I don't need both. More stuff takes up more time.

From your post, I don't see any reason to buy a new one except your itch. Does it need to be scratched or not? Only you could answer that question. Meanwhile, could you post some pictures of your current ride?

Next years' Tacoma is getting an all new powerplant. 300+ HP. Totally different technology in engine design. They will sell a lot of them. Both Tacoma and Tundra need diesel option. Wait for 2016 Tacoma if the Tundra is too big for your needs. IMHO only.
