I have seen a few threads around but still haven't been able to nail down which wire under the scuff plate is the cargo light. (Wiring some led strips to coincide with the cargo lights)
Also would like to have those leds to be independent too... any thoughts on that?

Truck in question is my 2011 SR5 Double Cab.

    Alot of them
When I had my 2013, I had a switch mounted in the bed and ran power from the trailer harness. I had to have my parking lights on to get power, but never had to worry about them being left on.

Yes I'd like to have it to be independent and also coincide with the cargo lights if I can was thinking it would probably just need a 2 Pole relay or something like that... if I can't have that I still want it to tie in to my cargo lights and be controlled by the switch in the cab... I have seen some others doing it but it seems like each year of Tundra had different colors for the wire under the scuff plate

lol... I thought I was tapping the wrong wire...so finally I just pulled the cargo switch...tried tapping there...then found the panel where all the instructions say to tap the brown wire there for those OEM led bed kits... come to find out (hopefully) I think my lights are pulling too many amps to simply tap the cargo light wire in the foot sill, rocker, or panel... my leds are pulling 9amp...and that wire is like 7.5... so back to trying to figure out relaying power to it... I believe @NewImprovedRon has me on the right path though...
