Yes they are! Didn’t want to shell out THAT much, so I settled for the Advantage.

When I bought my Yoder I took a glance at Memphis pellet smokers. If you do not mind, how much does an advantage run?

They were about $3,000. The Beale Street replaced it. It’s about $2,000 but not made in America like the other models.

I'm my own worst critic, but after the last three butts, ain't nobody can do it better. Cut a ten pound butt in half for lunch the next three days. Trying not to eat it all tonight.

Found this thread late, but wanted to share something I found useful learning how to smoke on my Weber Smokey Mountain.

    This book:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/054401846X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_G9MUFbDFFPKQB

And a DigiQ were the two best invests I made
    https://bbqguru.com/info/DigiQ

Now with overnight cooks Im no longer greeting up every 3 hours to check vents and charcoal levels. With the DigiQ I can get 10 hours on the initial charcoal

I often reference this book (got it last year for Christmas) and Franklin's Manifesto.

Great reads and references for smoking

What’s up guys. Decided to try some new seasonings. My order from Spiceology just showed up today....weirdly enough I got a tri tip while at Fred Meyer earlier today. Getting ready to throw it on the Rectec Bullseye in a couple minutes. Then I’m conducting a science experiment after the smoke...but for now some before pictures.

Edit: tri tip just rubbed with olive oil and the Chipotle Garlic

After pic of one of the breasts from yesterday. Ended up being in a hurry since I had to work last night and got up late. So no smoke first. Just 350 till done.

A little this and that...Broke now
Since my Cal-Exit to Georgia my Traeger stayed behind for my son. So to celebrate our move I black friday scored a Rec-Tec 540, 180 pounds of pellets, full spice rack with sauces, competition cart, cover headed my way! Nothing wrong with my Traeger I just wanted to get higher temps! I'll post pics when it lands!

Been smoking for a while and have always had the stick burner envy! Recently purchased an A-maze-n smoke assist and would recommend to anyone who wants to add more smoke to their cook. Best 30 bucks I’ve spent in a long time. Here’s a pic of a flat I did a quick smoke on, 8 hrs.

Tried a new meal tonight. Flank steak pin wheels from Derek Wolfe(Over the fire cooking). Oh man was it amazing!!!

This Rectec Bullsyeye is definitely my go to grill for small quick weekday stuff. Going to have to smoke a brisket soon on the Timberline so it can get some attention.
