Was at Ross looking for doggy stuff and came across a nice little impact bit kit. $16 for Makita, sure why not?

I won't be putting much "impact" through these but it will be nice to use those T25 bits for stuff on the VW. Phillips bits always come in handy too, and I like how its a lot of ph2 so when they get lost I have more.

Well, at least the intake will make cool sounds, and at 5k rpm wide open it probably gives a few horsepower... maybe. Dyno says so.

Some guys who ran a throttle body spacer found out they had almost no clearance between fan and intake. That spiral effect they mention won't work in real life, it might if air was being pushed into the motor but its being pulled in by vacuum so spinning the air won't make a denser charge.

Shot up(no pun intended) from a deep sleep at 0300 for 7 very close gunshots. Usually when I hear gun shots they are off in the distance(in the ghetto).

Been watching this jolly German Guy on utubes ‘Toyota Maintenance’ for the past few months. Guy gives some good maintenance tips as a former stealer tech now with his own small shop in Coolifornia.

He just put one out with a 2005 Tundra DC with seized front calipers. Gnar gnar. Had one last week with a Taco transmission drain inspect. He said (jokingly) that he was using his trusty Sauer Kraut jar to inspect.

Guy is excited on maintenance as we all should be.

Found out the other night he sold it. Was getting wonky behaviors whenever it got very cold outdoors. His 07 makes my 03 look like a mini-truck.

But you can get into places he cannot and more than likely get better gas mileage. I almost said a lot but my 1st gen doesn't do much better than our sons 2nd gen. So I'll zip my lip. Larry

Yup, back of block and inside the frame. Gotta reach in the wheel well, in front of the world's longest tie rod, then down where you can't see.
