If you really want it to be sway free my purchase was the dobinsons hd spring pack a 5/2 55mm lift Super heavy spring pack and they don’t know the weight range honestly (MainlineOverland knows) I’m at 7400lbs overall and they are still nice and stiff for the camoing/off roading life. 23FE1B7D-931B-4AFB-956A-53872DF1AFA7.jpg9D66A0F4-604C-4CC2-A820-FA9748C034DC.jpg
285/75r18 with the camper on. she gets real high when you take the camper off.

Thanks, the Dobinsons are getting great reviews and I'd rather do it right the first time and be done with it.

F airbags and Timbren. Agreed. Your installer won’t like the weight of them though. They’re hard to lift. And if you’re only a few hundred pounds over get the regular duty. It takes the FWC weight to make em ride right.

Scott, it probably is time for you to start a new thread. Not sure what you’re doing exactly, and I’ll follow over to check out your new thread when you start one, but this is definitely a bit of a hijack.

So tag me to the new thread. :hattip:

I have one... it’s my camper setup just for a reminder. I love this thing even though it’s not serving my intended purpose FCE18F47-1B9F-4230-957D-9FCDA9BE5396.jpgF27A61D0-84D7-44F0-908B-F73C75B47B86.jpg

Added a Victory 4X4 12 inch bed rack with a Roofnest Condor XL on top. First weekend out with it was great. Sleeps the family of 4 plus the dog with some extra room at our feet. Definitely happy with it.

Have a pic of that thing folded up? How much does it hang out the back? How long does it take to fold? Looks awesome and cool it works for the kiddos and doggos

Here it is during install so don't mind all the foam packing. I have the tent about 3 inches from the cab at the front and it has less than 7 inches of hang over at the rear. When closed, it is 13 in in height so it is pretty much flush with the cab of the truck. Very little to no wind noise unless it's really gusty and I don't feel it on the bed of the truck. Opening and closing the tent is less than 5 mins (one of the main reasons I love it, very simple design).

That’s super cool, good planning on close to cab height. I get tired of my FWC being so tall for sure. Park far away from work (no parking garage) and getting into the Toyota dealership for my oil change today was a bit stressful haha! Great pics! When you say it overhangs 7”, do you mean off the rack or out past the tailgate/bed? I’m looking at the TuffStuff Alpha and it’s basically the same LxW dimensions as your roofnest so your insight and photos are very helpful.

Got a question for you experts, we are going to try winter camping this time, any recommendation on a portable heater?

The chinese diesel heaters work great. Keeps the tent at 70* all night for like $1 worth of fuel and no carbon monoxide or exposed heating elements to set things on fire

There's a ton of them on Amazon that are all similar, and lots of youtube videos on setting them up. Just search for "diesel heater". The ones with the blue controller are supposed to be the latest version.

I double checked my measurements and am 10 inches off the rack which in turn is just barely over 3 inches past the tail gate.

What kind of rack is that on your roof? It looks pretty tight to the top. Is it loud or much wind noise with it?
