What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Well, so much for a clean undercarriage. Hurricane Eta just came through here.

Geez, one trip down my drive way this time of year and my undercarriage looks like that!

 

Finished up my lift, wheels, tires and steps late last night. Just need to get rid of the front end chrome on Saturday and I'm finished for a bit.

 

Why they didn't make that shark fin color matched, I'll never know!

 

are they hard to install?

 

Anyone else have a Gator rubber truck bed mat? If so, how long does it take for the awful smell to go away? Seriously gives me a headache when I go into my garage.

 

Put it out in the sun. The heat and light will help off gas it faster.

Actually functional for me as the old whip antenna is in the way when I climb on the tire to clean the windshield.

 

Some small changes. I added the Tundra raised lettering to the tailgate. I also wanted something different than just all black emblems so decided on the TVD matte black inlays to dim down some of the chrome. Looks good and easy to apply.

Where does one get the black raised lettering for the tailgate?

 

Amazon carries them.

 

Its amazingly simple to install

 

The ones on Amazon are quite thick I found, the dealership ones don't protrude as much. Cleaner look in my opinion.

Finished this up today. Took some elbow grease without impact wrench

 

Yeah, those look like the dealer ones. I agree, they have more matte finish and not as angular.

 

Are those at3 4s tires on your truck? If so what size and how have they been I'm thinking that my be the next tire for me.

 

Updated my my 17’ SR5 CM 4.6 to a new 21’ SR5 XSP 4WD 5.7

 

Nice - what specifically does the XSP have? I've never seen that package up here in the PNW.

 

Front bumper went on wonderfully. Next is a chrome delete on the grill.

 

Weld yourself or got a shop? Also ballpark price to get the shop to weld it if you did? I've considered getting one, but would prefer a shop weld it together since I'm a grinder...not a welder. Looks good man

 

What wheels are those?

 

Total for my rear and front bumper was 800 welded. The rear bumper needed new mounting brackets made, so he charged me 300 for the front and 500 for the rear, because it was a pain.

 

Since my dealer didn’t provide anything for the manuals to go in, I found my own on Amazon and put my manuals in it tonight.

And I filled it up with gas.
