Hi all, greetings from Dubai :)
I'm an owner of an as stock as can possibly be 2012 Tundra SR5. I know lifts were covered here many times, but dang it's pretty confusing... I'm considering 2.5 or 3" lift with leveling (so 1-1.5" at the rear) and wondering if Toytec kits with spacers are an ok option, or should I look into full suspension kit. I daily the thing, but I also take it out to the desert on weekends.
    Thanks for your support :)

Welcome. Grab some extended travel coilovers. The extended travel will give you up to 3" of lift. Anything higher than 2.5, you will want some upper control arms to prevent over extension of the factory ball joint and give you appropriate alignment numbers. Some people like to do shims with coilovers, but I think that's pointless. You can preload a bit more and get the same results without spending more money and putting more stuff on the suspension. Pass on the spacers and upgrade your bumps.

Suggest you stay away from spacers, especially if you do any off road or high speed beach/desert runs. Plenty of good 2.5-3 inch coilovers out there. Toytec is a fine vendor. 5100s or 6112s are not too expensive and would be a much better option than a spacer. Lots of good suspensions out there for Tundras- toytec has several and then there is OME, King and many more. Check the suspension forum here for lots of good info, pics, reviews, complaints.

Thanks. So is this a compete kit? Or is there bits missing that need to be installed first? I guess it goes with OEM springs...

Thanks. I'm planning not to go above 3". My wheel setup is not going to get crazy high or wide either so i assume UCAs are not really necessary, no?

If you're going to a full 3", I would definitely grab some arms. It's not just for fitting huge tires, but it also will help with down travel. When you droop out when lifted, you're going passed what the factory ball joint was designed for. So if you drive over a large pothole or dip, the ball joint will get maxed out and you'll have no more travel left to help absorb that. In that scenario, the truck will just be falling into the pothole or dip. You'll also want the extra caster the help center the larger tires and alleviate any touchy steering.
