TRD sway bar worth it?

    Toytec Ultimate kit w/ Bilstein Fabtech UCA TRD stabilizer Boss shocks - Rear Airlift wireless one 35x12.5x20 Nitto G2 Grappler
    I am thinking about switching out the sway bar on my '08 for the TRD sway bar. For those of you who have done this swap, is it worth it?

    Don't get it. From all the reading that I have done on this forum, these guys say to stay away from TRD in general. DON'T do it!

    Front or rear? Uncouple your sway bar for a few days to see how you like it. You may feel a difference for the better.

    Rear, Yes for sure. Been running it since 2013 on my 2014 Tundra. But now that I have installed a mid travel setup I am thinking about removing front and rear sway bars.

    Take it off, limits the articulation of the the suspension. That's why we spend big bucks for killer suspension.

    Your front bar should be fine... adding a Hellwig bar to the rear is an excellent upgrade. I wouldn't own a truck if I couldn't add a rear sway bar.

    Was wondering if the rear sway bar affects your travel. Do some tests before and after so we know how much it restricts articulation!!! I like the rear bar on the streets but always wondered how much it restricts off-road.

    But seriously if I get a decent mid travel setup in the rear the bars will prolly most likely be gone. Just can’t justify it with my stock leafs.

    My front is off and I only run a rear. Wierd I know but I actually like how it handles right now like this!

    yes its worth it.

    99.9% of Tundra owners will never do any REAL off roading and surely not enough where rear articulation is an issue. the tiny percentage who are actually crawling over cooler sized rocks and trees might find some benefit.

    HID retrofit headlights from Lightwerkz, Morimoto LED fog lamps from Lightwerkz. JL audio upgrade from Tech12Volts, Powdercoated factory black wheels local, ESP rear storage trays under seat, bed cover by BakFlip, bed liner, console safe, LED light bar by Back Country. Weathertech floor liners and ventshades. TRD rear sway bar. TRD Pro exhaust, TRD Skid plate, Fortin EvoOne Remote start from Anderson Electronics.
    I mainly drive on the road, and I haul ass. I was surprised with how bad the body roll was with my 2016 crewmax. I opted for the TRD bar, and it was pretty simple to install. I was pretty impressed with the reduction in body roll for me and my driving style. I am glad I went with it. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

    I got front and rear TRD bars. Very happy with the way the truck handles. Worth the money IMHO.

    I forget who said it, but when I was coming down the first big hill at Peligreen, I was told the sway bar was limiting the rear. Might have been Matt. Having the rear sway bar may have saved me from hitting my TRD Duals with the Deaver K37's too. In the end I hit one of the tips on the rock edge though. It won't happen at the next trip though.

    This is with the TRD Rear Sway Bar. The wheel still touches the groud and my floor jack wouldn't go any higher

    Removed front sway bar and still have the TRD rear sway bar installed with 13" of travel front and rear. Suspension mods in signature.

    Either will make a improvement the Hellwig is just alot heavier built and adjustable. The TRD is hollow and the Hellwig is solid and bigger diameter so it should work better.
