295/70/18 tire thread

You guys running these at 1.9 on 6112's, is 25-30 the sweet spot on offset to avoid major rubbing?

Question for you guys. I'm running 285/70/18 Ridge Grapplers on a 0 offset. I had this setup on my 2013 along with my Toytec coilovers. I moved everything over to my 2020. My 10 year old said the truck looks taller than the old one, and my neighbor said the tires look smaller lol. The outer tread is getting on the low side but still have some miles left. My TPMS sensors arrived finally, so they have to be installed still. Should I have all of the tires cross mounted/flipped and run them down as the inside treads are like new? The other option would be going to the 295/70, but I don't know if it would look any different.

 

Kinda off topic, my 2020 trd pro front bumper got hit. If I want to put the bulken front bumper on, what’s the max tires size I can run without mod on stock pro suspension.

The ridge grapplers are amazing! I got these Falkans new for $205 a tire... couldn't pass it up! The 295s just look so perfect on these IMHO.

 

I saw some on Amazon but wasn’t sure if it’s a set of 4 or 2.

 

Spidertrax usually run between $230 and $260 for a set of 4. I have seen them for sale on and off here in the forum.

 

If you’re already seeing camber wear I don’t think there’s any going back. Flipping them won’t cause the wear to even out, I’m pretty sure you’ll just have other issues.

That said, 295/70R18 or 285/75R18 are both great options for 3rd gens. I love the way my 295/70 fit, but I’d look hard at 285/75 the next time around.

 

Yeah I was just wondering about getting more life out of the tire before replacing them. With them being 285/70, I don't know if the 295/70 or 285/75 would even look any bigger.

 

Here is what a 285/75/18 looks like with a 4/1.5 lift.

 

Cooper pros on methods. +18 offset. Very slight rub on the bumper and I don’t want to trim so shims are on order.

2019 Limited Dbl Cab TRD off road with 2" leveling kit and stock wheels. currently running 275/70/18's.
Do I have room for the 295/70/18's without additional mods/chops/shaping/trimming (besides baby mudflap?
If not, would I have room with spacers?

I'm reading conflicting reports. Some say I'll need to trim skid plate without spacers. with spacers, I'm spared the skid plate but that creates other issues.
Is this a trial and error deal??

 

I just put the same size on mine with 3 inch....had to get front bumper shims to move the bumper a half an inch

 

The question I can't find the answer to for either the slight modification to get the 295/70s or no modification to get the 285/75s. They will fit and drive fine on the pavement, but how are they when off the beaten path? I was playing with mine and need to know if the 285s are going to fit up in the well when articulating. I didn't even think to shots of the front.

 

If you plan on off-roading with your truck do not go the 295 route. The 295s are very close to the stock UCA. Now if you plan on modifications to your PRO such as a PRO lift with aftermarket UCAs then you can go as big as your budget allows...

 

Thanks. I’m was leaning towards the 285/75s. That and maybe a couple bumpers. After I parked it on that mound, wheel well clearance became my concern. I’d probably get real sad panda if I spend a grand on new tires and then put holes in them while ripping up a fender.

 

295/70/18 method 701’s +18. Great fit. 34.25 tire. Looking to go up to 35x12.5, as it’s half an inch wider and roughly .5 larger in most manufacturers. Thinking thinking at3 xlt or wildpeaks.

Thinking about putting the c4 bumper on my stock trd pro. Was wondering what’s the biggest tires size I can put on without any body chop ?

I wouldn’t go any bigger than the 295/70/18.

 

I went from 305’s to 295, waiting right now to be installed. Got the Bridgestone REVO 3 for a good deal and I can’t pass to get it and save some $$

 

waiting for the KO2, not sure when they coming out.

 

I have 295's cooper maxx 18's now on stock rims and am adding the c4 hybrid bumper with a winch shortly...that is over 200lbs. I have 5100's mid settings with the shims sitting at about 2.25 now with a plus 2 CB shackle in the back. Talked to David Eckstrom and he is recommending I keep the shims and add Fox 2.5's in front and slim body 2.0's in back with +3 shackles. Now with about a 3 inch lift I'm wondering if I can go a up a notch on tire size next go around...thoughts and photos please.

 

Most tires are back ordered. I tried to get the ko2’s but no date in site. Duratec’s are back ordered too. Even the 35’s in the stock Michelin are back ordered.

 

I can confirm this. Especially for KO2's and Duratracs in 295/70/18, I was told that these are relatively new and the back order is substantial, with a vendor telling me it could be 6-12 months before being available here in Canada (Vancouver).

Cooper and Toyo though seems to have alot in the market for this tire size.

 

If I continue down the 295 path can someone tell me what brand model is quieter with a more aggressive tread....it sure is not the cooper st maxx.

 

I have Bridgestone REVO 3 tires and definitely quieter than my 305’s KO2, hope this pic helps..
