Being told “you’re dirty”. I’m a plumber and I work, therefore I am dirty. So what if I have a cobweb on my shirt, or my knee is dirty, I am working. I mean why do you feel the need to address my dirtyness. I know I am not super clean but your plumbing is done and it looks awesome.

Why not just tell me what a nice job I done and give me a knuckle bump? How about a coffee and a doughnut? I’ve done stuff for a doughnut.

I've done enough plumbing to know that I don't have an appetite after doing plumbing!

I will give you a :fistbump: for doing a thankless job that I don't do!

People who turn around in my driveway or stop right in front of it to look up directions or whatever it is they're doing. It's not as if there isn't space next to it to stop, or other driveways on the street you could pack the snow down on.

Never fails some asshat wants to park right next to you in an open parking lot. Went to HD this morning and someone did the exact same thing.

What’s wrong with leaving a dog in the vehicle? Is it hot up in Canada today?

It's highly frowned upon in any temperature up here and the by law officer had a right to smash your window if he feels the animal is in danger. Humane Society "Don’t leave pets in parked cars for any period of time.". It's just basic common sense but not everyone has it.

I guess I don't understand why anyone in any situation would need to have their dog with them in a shopping trip.

If I have my dog with me after going to the dog park and need something, I drop her off and go back. If someone is with me, they stay with the dog and I run in and get what is needed.

I know dogs have licensing requirements but owners should to. There are a lot of assclowns who own pets that shouldn't be allowed to.

Calling and writing appeal letters to insurance companies to get medication covered or studies ordered for my patients. Inevitably, the person on the other end is a clerk with no medical background. It is a waste of time and another reason health care costs keep going up. I can't tell you how many of my colleagues have retired early because of never ending fights with insurance companies.

I wouldn’t leave or travel with my dog inside any vehicle, but I have a big dog that can really do significant damage and not mean to. Anything over 16*C is not a good idea for a dog even with the windows cracked.

Easy hack for peppers: buy or obtain when plentiful and cheap. Sort by type, remove stem and soft ribs, and cut them into large pieces (like 6-8 pieces for a large bell or poblano, 3 or 4 pieces for jalapeños, habaneros, ghosts, etc...) Put each type in a labeled/dated Ziplock freezer bag, and put them in the freezer.
When prepping your meal, pull as much as you need and leave it in a dish to thaw at room temp, or in a hurry run cold water over them. You’ll have almost fresh peppers year round. Cutting into big pieces means you can grill them, dice them, slice em... whatever.

I had a cellphone in the 90's when I was station in Germany and only paid for outgoing minutes. I was sent on a TDY to Macedonia, a few countries and a mountain range or two over and one day I was in the mess hall when my phone rang. It was my mom checking on me.
Here, in America, 30 years later, I can't hardly drive the relatively flat 30 miles to Austin without my signal dropping a few times or stand out in my yard without it getting a "call failed".
    That makes me angry.

Time to switch carriers? I can get service deep in the bush with mine while some of the budget ones here can't even get service in the new neighbourhoods in our city.

That's due to the "advancement" of technology. Analog signal didn't have the same clarity and speed as digital, but it flowed more like water. It would dip into valleys and around obstacles. We have fully moved to the digital stuff. It's better audio quality, higher speed, but it's also essentially line of site.

Lots of that can be explained by the roaming contracts, or by frequency ownerships. Granted, things may be differently up there in the land of Moose, Maple Leaves, and Beaver.

I thought there was a slight US advantage dollar wise. I've not checked or anything, but my Canadian gamer buddy always grumped that the games were more expensive up there. :notsure:

Unfortunately we are locked in with AT&T - not because of a contract but because out of everybody, they work the best the best around here. I was hoping when T-mobile and Sprint combined, it would help but it's really hard to keep track of everybody's claims on their coverage. AT&T has seemed to become worse lately but I guess it could be they're just clogged up. Or maybe I just like to bitch... :)

I was in Europe from 1996-1999 - I think they were using GSM which was digital, but that could be my memory just filling in spaces with nonsense from video games and tv shows. That time I went by "Jack Bauer" and worked for the CTU and had 24 hours to save the US and then had to do it like 7 more times, I remember that clear as day though.

Could have just been good tower placement I guess. There are so many little factors that play into the reception and capacity. Congestion isn't uncommon in heavily populated areas. Water has a tendency to reflect the signal back on itself and cancel it, too. There are so many factors that in telecom we all just understand that what it and the internet runs on is PFM.

Yeah but you have Loonies, Toonies, and hockey everywhere so that should make you happy. Also, isn't the legal drinking age 19? We used to road trip over to Montreal from Michigan State to drink the tiniest, most expensive shots at Don Cherry's bar. That's where I learned how to do a "Statue of Liberty" - a shot of sambuca, dip your thumb in it and have your friend light your thumb on fire. Hold your thumb up high as you drink the shot, then stick your thumb in your mouth to put out the flame... My buddies girlfriend did it and her lipstick caught on fire. Good times.

Lady jumps out of the HOV illegally and across 3 lanes, cuts me off and slams her brakes for her exit and manages to flip me off because I almost plowed into her ass during her cutting me off.

Actually, in the good provinces, the drinking age is 18.

The continual misuse of "literally" and "technically" in misguided attempts to either sound educated or add emphasis. If it's TECHNICALLY incorrect then you will LITERALLY sound stupid to lots of people.
