BDforums is the discount code, you should be able to add it in the mobile site. It's a box that you type the code in.

Posted in the lighting forum as well but I think it deserves to be here as well. S1s on flexible arms so you can illuminate the bed, the trailer, the campsite, and while changing tires: BD makes awesome stuff!

I saw that you guys just released a new work/scene S2 with different reflector lens.

Is this lens different from the previous work/scene that has the different internal reflector cone?

Hi guys, just saw this thread AFTER ordering my lights, grrr! Am I reading on here that you’ve got Tundra plug and play options for your lights?!? If so, can I get any plug and play parts for the two pair I just ordered: Squadron Sport #557801 and Squadron SAE Amber #257815

Not sure what plug the sport uses but the SAE fogs use a way connector. They do offer a plug and play adapter but make it difficult to purchase. I just made my own from Amazon parts. See post # 1185 above for the amazon links.

I'm pulling my squadrons out of my fog pockets on my tundra and mounting them on an aftermarket c4 bumper...I will need the metal brackets I think but what about new wiring harnesses???

I have a pair of S2 pros in my back bumper with the wide cornering but wanted to see how the new work/scene lens performed. Prior to buying the S2s I did a lot of research regarding which set to buy in order to give me the most light possible when backing up in dark driveways or working on my trailer at night and ended up ordering thr wide cornering version. However, the new S2 scene lens caught my eye so I ordered a set on BDs website and they arrived today.

I decided to do a write up and comparison of the two. My conclusion is that they are both good for lighting up the area behind my truck but I think I prefer the wide cornering only because the light is directed where it’s needed and not 50’ high into the trees- besides our rear view camera can’t pick up that light anyway:). The new work/scene is exactly that: a work light mainly for spreading short range light in a very broad area. This lens is very good for mounting up high and illuminating say, a campsite. This comes as no surprise as BD advertises this!

Youll also notice that the stock reverse lights actually do a decent job of lighting up the rear and when I do turn on my S2s it washes out the periphery but you can see very clearly what the light is shining on.

it’s worth noting that these pics are taken with one light at a time as I had a different lens on each light

Anyway, here are my shots with an iPhone and aren’t professional but do show some of the differences:

great write up. I wonder if the work lens is different from the previous work lights that have a different shape inner reflector cone.

Is the work lens primarily for those who don’t have the inner work lens cone?

Any updates on when light-bars will start shipping that have been backorders for a few months due to 2020? Say, a 30 inch amber one maybe?

Same here. I understand global supply chains are all in chaos due to Covid and work place restrictions etc. I was just curious. I can live on without a 30 inch light bar a few more days. Hahaha

Question for you Baja users out there. Got a friend looking for some advice on lights. He is looking to do either a light bar or a pair of cs9 on his front bumper. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, sorry for the delays. We do indeed have a long backorder for select products right now. If they told you 5 weeks, then it will likely be close to that time frame. It is a bummer for us too, but we are doing our best to get orders out quickly.

If you shoot me a PM with your name, order number, and what products you ordered, I will check with the orders team and try to get you an update early next week.

    Lots of shenanigans.
@Baja Designs Any updates on the SAE fog light updates? Also, are you still going to provide free exchanges for those of us who purchased the previous generation?

    Well I’ll be damned!

got a shipment notification. I ordered from @ragofabrication on 2/1. I know @Baja Designs ships directly. So only 29 days after ordering and being quoted 5 weeks.

looks like my 30” s8 light bar is coming!
