I purchased a 2020 Tundra Limited with safety sense and I am in the process of de chroming the front end. I have a question regarding what grill to order. I am interested in the platinum or sport grill insert with painted surround. My main question is regarding the emblem/safety sensor. Will my current emblem/sensor bolt or snap right in place on the platinum or sport grill?

Here is a link from the ultimate OEM thread that I assume is the correct grill for my truck. I am ready to order but worried the emblem won't swap over to this grill. Can anyone verify?

Does your current emblem attach with a screw at about 5 o’clock? If so you have the newer emblem and you should be good to order away. Search for the oem parts thread and Roman has a very thorough guide for how to pick the right grille!

I read through his first post in that thread with all of the parts numbers. It had a link to the emblem thread which explained the difference. I was hoping someone would know if all 2020's had the same emblem and if it fit the grill that I linked. I am not near my truck right now or id look.

I did the same swap on a 2020 Limited, the sensor moved over with no issues, check the ultimate parts thread for more info.

Are you going to sell the Limited grille?

Roman said he has seen some of the old emblems on 20s and vins aren’t always correct. The newer grilles will be made for the new emblem. Check your emblem to be sure

I had someone take a photo of the back of my emblem. These are probably the best that I can get. I think the two clips at the top match the newer style emblem. What do y’all think?

Probably not at this point. Everything I am doing to the truck mod wise is reversible (my goal) in case I ever want to return to stock to trade/sell the truck. I usually try to do this to my vehicles so I can sell off my mods and the new owner gets a truck that looks more or less OEM. :spy:

It looks like you have the screw at the 5 position indicating the newer emblem!

Thanks for the verification. When ordering $500+ worth of parts for a brand that I have never owned before, I wanted to make sure they would work with my emblem/sensor.
