Considering OME kit

    Hello all
    I'm looking to level my truck while maybe give it some improved performance. I'll be 90% on pavement 10% offroad with all stock body parts.

    I'm considering going with 6112s up front at 1.9 or picking up this OME kit since I can get it for $900 which is normally $1500.

    This is what in the OME kit:
    Coil Spring Set # 2614 x 1
    Nitrocharger Sport Strut # 90018 x 2
    Rear Leaf Spring Packs #
    $345 CS055R Spring
    CS055R x 2
    Nitrocharger Rear Shock # 60100 x 2
    Fitting Kit # FK32 x 1
    Spring Bushing Kit # OMESB106 x 2
    U-Bolts # OMEU53B x 4

    I know there is a lot of reviews and people happy with 6112 setup. Any advice or reviews on this OME kit?

    I like OME, however, the coils you listed there are the heavy duty coils for use with aftermarket heavy bumper AND winch. I would not suggest using those 614 coil springs unless you have those items. If you install them without that additional weight you are looking at a hard ride and it will lift the truck more than expected. OME coils tend to run a little "high" anyway, they list 2.5 inch lift but typically run 2.7 to 3 inches. OME makes 3 different coils for the Tundra, 612s are light/stock load, 613 are medium load and those 614s are they heavy duty.

    I just passed the one year/15k mile mark on my OME setup and I still love it!
    Got somewhere around 3" of lift, and she handles like a dream on and off the road.
    Like @frichco228 said, the 614 are a heavy duty coil spring and you'll notice a pretty stiff ride if you don't have any additional weight in the nose.

    Ill just add that I have the "light" suspension on my 4th gen 4runner. I have put about 75k miles on the 4runner since I swapped the suspension 5+ years ago and it has been great. No issues, still rides and handles great. Got about 3 inches lift, still running stock UCAs. Even the "light" coils are about 10% stiffer than stock.

    Good to know. Thank you for the replies. Sounds like those coils are gonna be too stiff. If I go OME I'll opt for the 612.

    I think @RLHOK got the 612s if i remember correctly. He might be able to swing in here and give you a review on how they feel on the Tundra. :thumbsup:

    Still rolling stock baby....
    Correct I have the 612 springs on mine. Toytec adjustable shackles in the rear.

    Ride on the road is great, handling is firm, and feels planted.

    Add a load to the bed and it feels like it floats, best way to describe it.

    Very pleased and would purchase again.
