So silly me..I read a million threads about the drama on interior LED conversions and couldn't help myself. I pull everything off Interior wise, unhook the Battery, plug everything in... Nope.

One rear bulb works. I spin the other and it lights but not the map lights. Then I blow the 7.5 under the hood a few times. I unhook everything and try again... Notice the tabs on the driverside map light bent wider to accommodate the LED and don't really want the old bulbs anymore and after checking the 10A and 7.5 under the dash, I realize the key ring doesn't illuminate either. Truck runs with instrumentation and accessories but the interior lights are toast. Now I'm looking for a light and accessories Installer. Ugb

Word of advice. Keep your interior non LED.

Mood lighting. I dont think I'd be able to see anything with any color beside white or amber.

I seen a lot of people with blown fuse and what not when switch the out to led bulbs. Maybe i got lucky? But i never had issue swapping out bulbs for led in my truck and other vehicle. Even without unhooking the battery.

I used all VLED and never had an issue. Every bulb that could be changed in my truck has been changed

Blue or red was a debate based on night vision. Wife likes to turn on lights while night driving when looking for stuff. This solves that issue as I can easily see the road. Red did drown out Instruments some. Green is ideal but looks horrible. Blue matched some of the Instruments and checked all the boxes. Old submariners will have flashbacks. Seldom do any intense searches in my truck and vanity mirrors are cool white and bright as the sun.

I ended up twisting a delicate contact tab on the driver's side which caused the issue. VERY delicate procedure when compared to vehicles of the past.

You need to use VLEDS like others have mentioned they are expensive but worth it and won't cause things to short out. Ask me how I know, live and learn

Same here and I used bulbs off Amazon not VLEDs. One thing a lot of people don't know is the LEDs are polarity sensitive.

Maybe I’m just lucky but I have done four Toyota and have never blown a fuse. I never unplug the battery and even leave the circuit hot. I’ll barely hold the led to the fixture if it lights up I push all the way in, if it doesn’t I flip it. Just do one bulb at a time and you should be fine... atleast in my experience

I did my 4runner and this tundra with the Amazon led’s and never had an issue. They are polarity sensitive and it is easy to bend the metal contact out of alignment with the actual fixture - I would check all fuses and then unhook the battery and check the bulbs to make sure they are seated properly

Vleds are probably fine. I use hidkitpros.com out of Washington state. The prices for bulbs and my morimoto xbs were lower than anyone else. They are also responsive, which helps.
