I opened my hood about a month ago and noticed some decent corrosion on my battery connectors.

I wish I would have taken a picture.

I attempted to clean them off, but I couldn't get it all off. Too many nooks and crannies in the OEM connectors.

Someone in here recently replaced his connectors with these.

    https://sdhqoffroad.com/products/sdhq-built-billet-battery-terminal-upgrade-kit

I temporarily covered my old connectors in anti corrosion goop and ordered these replacements.

I installed them today and hopefully I have no more issues. They look quite a bit nicer too.

Those new ones look nice, I’ll definitely pick those up if mine show signs of corrosion. You made me go check, all looks good so far!

Yeah, I'm not sure why there was corrosion in the first place.

I have to take it in for 10k miles soon. I am going to ask if maybe the OEM battery sucks.

Haha. I don't think so. I only run them when I am off roading at night. So like a few hours a month.

I don't know a heck of a lot about batteries, but anything is possible.

    Haha.

Scared myself the other day. My NSV light bar wasn't working.

Looked under the hood, and sure enough. I forgot to hook up the wire when I redid the battery connector.

    Oops.

All is well, nothing to see here.

Looks great! Who in Boise did your install? I'm having a hell of a time finding a shop to do mine.

    Small upgrade today.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071NJ4FB7?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I almost didn't get one of these, but I hate having any PC on my truck to get stopped.

I'm not worried about getting cited. I just think after stopping hundreds of vehicles in my time for the same violation, it would be hypocritical of me to not to do my best to keep her legal. I don't think I ever cited anyone for it, but I caught a lot of drunks that way.

I doubt any local guys would even care, but I do.

Installed an ARB rear differential breather today.

Cheap upgrade for some piece of mind.

Picked up a 40w Midland Radio, 6db antenna, a Rago Fabrication bed rail antenna mount, and Midland 6 meter antenna cable.

Will come in handy when with groups so I know what's going on when the convoy stops.

I wired it up to the accessory fuse so that it automatically turns off when the truck does.

Went up to Squaw Butte. Except for some snow ruts, it was a pretty smooth drive.

After about 2 months, my CBI Adjustable 18" Bed Rack arrived.

I haven't gotten any of the mounts for the hilift or traction boards yet. I am hoping it doesn't take months to get the mounts.

Anyway, the install took about three hours.

I installed a winch on the underside of the rack to hold the 35" spare, but the winch didn't fit the way I wanted it to. I can't get to the winch point. Still need to think about that one.

    The install was pretty easy.

Nice and clean! That dang tire always causing problems. One day it will swing off the back I’m sure.

Well, I got the winch to work, but there are a few problems.

One, when the tire is all the way up, I can't get the tool out.

Two, my rear view mirror is almost totally blocked.

Three, the tire is not stable enough. It sways a bit. I may have to add supports if I want this to work.

Honestly, I am not sure if this is the way to go. I am considering just putting it on top of the bed rack and strapping it down.

I need to think more on it and I am going to consult my 4x4 shop to see if he can make it work better than I did.

It's kind of a bummer because I spent alot of time making the rack hole bigger to fit the tool. The Dremel had to work overtime.

Well unless you go full rear view camera, that’s not gonna work well.

I ordered an actual tire strap, but this will do for now.

The tire winch was a good idea, but there were too many downsides.

    Yup. No problem there.

Edit: Not fitting in the garage would be a deal breaker.

    Lots of shenanigans.
Looks great! Thanks for showing your progress! I added you to another forum because I really liked your bracket for the fog lights! It might help a few of us who are looking at alternative options for fogs.

Awesome build! Did you keep the factory TRD/Fox suspension or did you have to modify it at all for the added weight of the bumper? How does it ride with all that weight up front (assuming you kept factory suspension)?

I haven't noticed any noticeable ride difference. The Fox shocks are pretty nice.

Once I get everything done, I may have a suspension guy take a look and see if it needs any tweaking.

I almost forgot to post this.

Literally the fourth time I had used this bed step and the step broke.

That was a waste of money.

I was considering taking it off when my new rear bumper is installed anyway.
