I found some rust on my 04 tundra DC today. :(

Im concerned that it may spread and i dont want that to happen.

I know that most of you have good experience in dealing with rust issues.

I dont know if i should attempt to fix this or just do a complete replacement of the effected part.

I would follow Nick's advice and replace the cables. Not really something I would classify as rust, though.

    Nevada trucks...

    What can I say?

I peeled off that plastic coating and rubbed the cable with grease. Followed up a year later and sprayed it with Bedliner. Golden.

You should file a complaint with Toyota. If they don't give you full 500,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, we can file a class action lawsuit.

I dunno man, that rust looks terrible. I'd say your truck's pretty much worthless at this point. Be happy to take it off your hands. Let me know.
