It has ramps that attach to the bars along either side of the cover. Drive it up or down. The ramps fold in half and fit in the bed.

No issues at all in that regard. The drive home was 3.5 hours and 200+ miles from central PA (State College area) to SE PA. There was just about every road condition--sharp turns, back country roads, hills, highways, etc. I did install firstone airbags though. She was stable as hell...surprisingly. I figured that wouldn't be the case. I was wrong. It took about 30 or so miles before I felt comfortable. She was secured with Shock Straps (highly recommend these).

The problems I encountered were limited to two things: the length of the ramps and closing/opening the tailgate. I'll be posting a thread on my experiences with the DB HD ATV cover separately.

Like @Willard said, ramps. They are extremely stout and designed incredibly well. However, with the minor lift I have, loading and unloading with pucker your ass using the 9ft ramps. I could have opted for 12 footers but with the short bed in the CM I wanted the folded length to easily fit in the bed.

I did the ole tried and true, butt dyno approved TRD airflow accelerator and AFE dry drop in filter to stock box. Didn't notice any sound difference on start up, and haven't floored it really yet. Wasn't expecting much but it was a fun little mod. Butt dyno says it "feels" smoother on takeoff, but I don't notice any true gains. Plan on getting a DAP tune at some point anyways.

Put the tonneau back on full-time for winter. Had it on a piece of foam standing on it's side, wrinkled the velcro. Should lay flat after a while I'm guessing. Also it has a spiderweb on it from sitting so long lol.

I may be mistaken... but that is the same end result. The only exception that I see is that one would have the switch to turn them on but that would seem silly to have your cargo light on while driving.

I have bed lights and puddle lights on this circuit. Yes, I can turn any of the above mentioned lights on via the cargo switch or by opening/unlocking/locking the doors but how purposeful would it be to leave them on for the sake of having the VLED’s foot wells on?

I still say separate switch, maybe relay too, OR tapped into the illumination circuit.

I would look into techstream. It’s a computer program. You can edit those types of things. I no longer have the seatbelt chime as well as I can unlock all 4 doors on the first click. Lots of silly settings in there. You may find people in your area who have it. The dealer certainly does.

After getting the gutters cleaned, all the leaves raked up and Halloween stuff put away (happy wife), I got a nice detail in on the truck. I think its been maybe 6-8 weeks since the last cleaning. Nuts. Vacuum, windows, wash, tire shine applied and pressure adjusted, fresh application of rain-x on the back window, oil check and sunroof inspection. Now I can relax...

If you wire them into the footwell circuit, then they will fade on/off instead of abruptly shutting off with lock/unlock, door open/closed.

    https://youtu.be/Q5VmAUuNGnE

@ElNopal you might want to run the puddle lights this way..

IIRC, @TILLY was looking to achieve a constant foot well ‘ON’ instead of it fading out like what happens when one opens the doors or uses the fob to lock and unlock the doors.

Perhaps I was not clear. All of my lights: puddles, foot wells, cargo, and bed lights all behave with the 7-30 second preset time fade out with any of the above actions (door/lock/unlock). With the exception of the foot wells, I am able (not unique to me) to still manually use the cargo light switch to also turn on the puddles, cargo, and bed lights. I was relaying that to achieve an always on foot wells (while driving), a separate switch (possibly w/relay)would be required OR directly tapped to the illumination circuit where a switch already exists to effortlessly perform the desired end result that I understood @TILLY was seeking, suggesting as he was not wanting to wire in a separate switch to make this happen.

Thus why I inquired of why hooking them up to the cargo or some circuit. As was relayed prior, by @Tundra234, he confirms this circuit usable but with a separate switch. Without said switch then all of the outside lights come on to “just cruise around with constant foot wells on”, which, call me silly, to do that seems ridiculous.

Again, I wired these lights in the door handle recesses because I wanted both blue and white foot well lights but liked how the fading on and off worked. I didn’t want to use two different sets for the colors so I opted for this route.

I can turn the blue lights on with the parking/dash lights AND dim them if they are TOO obnoxious. This was simply the best alternate to fit the “no additional switch/wiring” to achieve constant accent lighting albeit via the door handles or the foot wells...

    Cheers Hermanos!
