    Congrats.

Tell me you talked him down on the price.

And do the 08's still have to door storage compartments like the'07? I always liked that. Toyota very rarely ever lets usable space go unused.

If it was under 50k miles maybe, but I think 23k is a lot, but I see that you already bought it, so All I will say is enjoy it:hattip:

You know you can have both if you do the rear seat mod.

I did! Older retired gentleman yes but he used it a little more like a daily but took pride in ownership. Of course it has its imperfections for being 12yrs old because it's not a garage queen show car but it's still a lot of truck for the mileage and price imo.

I didn't talk him down on price. I was the first to respond to his ad. I never discussed price because I thought his asking was fair and willing to pay if the truck checked out. Just from my history with buying and selling Toyota 4runners and Tacomas, I wasn't going to lowball him and knew if I did someone would most likely pay his asking price or maybe even more. Only thing i did was offer to put money down to hold it while I worked logistics to go check it out. He didn't want any money down just gave me his word I was first in line.

He was a great guy and man of his word. When I showed up and after we talked awhile, he told me since the ad first posted he had about 15 calls and a couple guys badgering him offering to buy it for $500-$1500 over the asking price. And texting/emailing him to see if I had showed up or it was sold yet etc.

I think it's awesome he kept his word and gave me first chance at it. He was an old school legit guy. Most people would have turned it into an auction and sold it to the highest bidder. This happened when I was trying to buy a used Tacoma, travel trailer and skid plate. Had a deal to pay their asking and then the seller calls me and says someone offered $X amount more. I said sell it to them.

Oh and it does have the door pockets!

Awesome. Not many people keep their word when selling something nowadays.

Just run the VIN to see if all the recall stuff has been taken care of.

    Memory seats
    Power folding led signal mirrors
    Backup camera
    Auto lights
    Dual zone climate control
    Auto dimming compass mirror
    Outside temp gauge

    Professional installed:
    Prodigy P2 brake controller

If you’ve got so much money it’s falling out of your pockets then hell yeah get the new one. But if your a normal guy then I would choose the more financially sound option of opting for the low mileage used tundra for sure.

    Edit:

finished reading and see you were a smart man!!! Excited to see pics sounds like a sweet rig! Congrats

Yeah, I didn't even realize pickups had power folding mirrors until after I bought mine. I am really enjoying the heated leather seats. The leather makes clean up after a hunting trip an absolute breeze.

Now I'm doing some extra interior cleaning and need to wash the bugs off.

I'm considering doing the 2020 sequoia TRD grill and headlight mod to it. Maybe some wheels and KO2s

Nice truck! I see you’re contemplating new wheels/tires.....fwiw those are my all time favorite OE wheels. They should fetch a premium on the marketplace if they’re as clean as I suspect they are.
