Miracle!

Earlier this week, my cousin and his wife of close to a year had a pregnancy scare.

She came down with toxemia and was told they had to deliver their 26 week old son.

After doing an ultrasound, they found a blockage in his intestine that would have been a huge problem.
Of course, as you can imagine, tensions and fear were high.

Three days ago, they gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. They named him Owen. The little bruiser is a TINY little thing at 2.6 pounds!

They had to take him to surgery for the intestinal blockage....surgery went VERY well and were able to feed him a day or two after.

The next day, his jaundice reared its ugly head, so now he's under a jaundice light but outlook is highly positive!

Wife still has intermittent spikes in her blood pressure and is still in ICU, but was able to see Owen during a good BP drop. Outlook is still high for her as well!

To me, it shows what prayer can do, as well as how resilient the human spirit is! My family and friends all came together just as it should be.

A big reason why this thread is ahead of any other thread out there...the people on here who band together to solve problems no matter how large or small!

I give you Owen! The smallest ass kicker on the planet!!

We're big on baseball on my dads side, I was a fielder and my cousin was a pitcher, so I'm betting he's gonna play!

Same here! Miss it like crazy! Hurt my knee back in 7th grade and by the time I could get back on the field, I had missed 8th and 9th grade and was too far behind skill wise.

My brother was 3 months premature and weighed in a 1 lb 9 ounces.

Its a scary, scary thing and its very hard leaving them in ICU and going home at night. Hope everything goes smooth from here Law!

 

Got another one of Owen wearing his dad's wedding ring. Almost wearing it as a bracelet!!
