Yeah you've had some bad luck but your truck also has over a quarter million miles man. Even Toyota can only build them so well. And who knows what kind of life it had before you bought it.

The squeeking noise a bearing? like a failed water pump? Or a screeching noise from coolant on the accessory belt causing it to slip? Not sure your rig is toast yet. Check thermostat and waterpump before you make 'er walk the plank. Could be a relatively easy fix. I'm doubtful it's the head gaskets. Different set of symptoms all together, but checking for contamination in the oil and coolant is an easier path than pulling heads. They usually leak in more than they leak out so to speak.

Where are you located? I'd check junkyards because what Toyota wants for them is stupid. Are you replacing your shocks at the same time? You can get the old man emu 2883 coils and that should keep you at stock height.

I have two in my storage unit you can have if you're near Colorado.

So the archive leafs give you 1 inch or more over stock? I'm looking for 1.5 to 2 inches when I replace my leaf springs.

Check craigslist and the market place here if you meet the requirements. Same with FB market. People are always selling take offs. Sometimes they are old and sometimes they are new

Actually if you check out the archive garage website, it says: -Lift height (vs stock unloaded 4WD models) is estimated at about: 2.5" unloaded, 2.0" with 500 lbs, 1.5" with 750 lbs, and 1.0" with 1,000 lbs added to rear axle weight. Lift amount similar for Access Cab and Double Cab

I may need to check if they can actually get them. I had already checked with Conicelli Toyota and Loyalty who said main warehouse was out.
Also checked out the Old Man Emu Coil Springs but they dont list them as being for 1 st gen Tundra. And worried about the ride height of stiffness will not be the same as oem.

Long story. But I got stuck with new TRQ struts (not TRD)on my Tundra. Does not ride as good. But main thing is it raised the front 3/4". If anything 1 myself would rather have the front lower not higher. Especially since I had already lowered the back some.

So wanted to get rid of the TRQ junk and go back with what I wanted to begin with. Bilstein 4600 shocks and a oem height spring.
Years back had lowered back just an inch. Which still left me with the back 1" higher than the front. Just what I wanted.
With these new struts in front it now sits with the front 1/4 to 1/2" higher than the back. SOS makes a 1" front lowering kit. But need to have the 4600 Bilsteins which I have on order. But they are not sure if I can still use the TRQ springs. So to save any problems figured safe bet is a OEM spring.
TRQ structs sell for 180.00 a pair so figured maybe a bad quality.
3 different shops this year with suspension problems and want to get it right this time.
    Thanks for any suggestions

I wish I would have measured before/after but i also added the bumper and sliders at the same time.

What I can say is the front is between 3.5-4" lift and it seems level at this point with probably 4-600lbs added in the rear. So i'd guess around 2"?

I did not do any relocation of the stock shock locations.

    They are supposed to give:

    2.5" - Unloaded
    2" - 500lbs
    1.5" - 1000lbs

@oscardog86 - didn't see you had already answered this.

(Camper conversion underway.) Rebuilt engine w/265K miles, A.R.E. camper shell (w/cab pass-through, rooftop fan, and side windows delete), bedlinered steel ladder rack (w/wooden rooftop deck and hammock mount), all LED lights (red dash, 4" side floods, 32" rear bar), Android head unit, 1.5" lift from Bilstein 5100 struts, 32" DuraTrac tires on factory rims, 1.5" wheel spacers, Moog suspension parts, SuperSprings leaf kit, diff drop, Reese trailer brake control, GoRhino Hitch Step, debadged, F-150 rear bumper, Sequoia center console unit upgrade, partial rear bench seat delete, dashcam, aftermarket speakers, 50% sound deadening coverage, custom tools unit.
    Confirmed blown head gasket.

The options are to a) pull the engine and do open heart surgery by essentially rebuilding it, or b) sell it and get a Tacoma.

Has anyone done this job? Please someone let me feel like I'm not pioneering this.
What all should I replace besides all engine gaskets?

Might start looking at beaters to get me by until it's rebuilt.

Toyota sells gasket Kits for engine overhauls.. can’t say I’ve ever seen a gasket let go like that...

It can be done in the truck.. it’s not a super complex engine, but it is gone consuming

That’s a project someone would buy (I know I would for the right price) but you’d be better off fixing it if you have the know how

Used engine is also another choice here

I wouldn't feel comfortable putting in an engine of unknown history. If I'm going to rebuild it, I'm going to do it right, and use OEM parts when I can. I think I'm literally going to have to get another job to afford a second vehicle and the parts for this build.
