Never used P&S Iron buster before....but use the interior cleaner and really like it. The Uro-fiber pads are awesome, as is the CutMax.

Cutmax is a very solid product. It is my go to for deeply scratched paints. If M110 is not handy.

Excellent starter kit. Thanks for posting that, I need to put one such kit together for a family member that I've finally been able to talk out of going to car washes.

Haven’t tried that soap yet, but I did get a free bottle of their regular car wash. I’ve been impressed with it so far, though I haven’t used it a ton.

Biggest difference between those two soaps.....Brilliant Finish has gloss enhancers, their regular soap does not. I prefer their regular soap for that reason

Looks like someone is going to be doing some carpet/interior cleaning.

BTW those are huge time savers. Just be careful with how much pressure you apply and don't stay in one area for long as you may damage the fibers on the carpet or cloth material you are cleaning.

Alright guys I’m upping my game. I am going to start researching the process and hopefully get a DA and learn to do that on my old truck.

Trying to figure out what DA kit with pads would be best so I’m going to look thru this and the other threads

As previously stated, the Griots G9 is the DA to start with. It has plenty of power, and is backed by a lifetime guarantee, by a company that stands behind their products. Most kits, while they can be a good price, do not have enough of each kind of pad to do the job. I would recommend getting the G9, and then going to Autogeek.net, and get the 5 inch backing plate, and some 5.5 inch BOSS pads for it. Autogeek sells them in 6-packs at a pretty good savings. As a good starting point, you could get some of the BOSS creams for correction and polishing, and finish that out with a good sealant.

I look forward to others chiming in on this. As a side note, get yourself an account on the Autogeek and Autopia forums, and ask questions there too. Both forums have lots of people who have a lot more knowledge, experience and expertise than I have, or could hope to have. Autogeek also has Mike Phillips....one of the recognized experts in all things detailing

I agree with everything that is stated here. I think this will give you a great starting point. I use boss correction and polish creams and have been very happy with both. I find the trick is to start gaining experience with a good product like boss then in the future you can experiment with something different and you will have a good baseline to compare from. Once your talking about top products the differences can be slight.

I have a porter cable 7424, had it for several years. It's been great for what I need, but I have thought about upgrading lately as I am getting more serious about detailing and doing more cars . The speed setting 5 on the PC seems inadequate at times and speed 6 is way too fast.

The G9 is definitely one of the top ones that are mentioned, and looks better balanced and more powerful than the PC. This will most likely be my next DA.
