Mid week or so. Toy Crawlers and ToyTec are all over it. And yes, glad I wasn't driving as I would have been 2 weeks from now. Was gonna wheel it too.

Any security cams monitoring the parking lot to see if it was a spontaneous drop? I'm thinking what Joon is, that the coil broke and has doubled up.

Be tough to cut with a hack saw. But yeah it did look doubled up and offset like it may be broken or just crushed. Either way its a bad heat treat.

Doubtful. It's a secured lot so doubt ex got in there with chain saw. And me exes are in FL anyway. Car was parked too far from door; so any drop caught on vid will be tough to see from that distance. But good idea.

I wasn't thinking so much that it was tampered with - I see no evidence of that in your photo.

Thought it might be entertaining though, at least now that we know you're getting taken care of.

    Yes I agree.

The point is(some have totally missed): I have actually never seen a Tundra on a flatbed until today, regardless of the reason. This is a huge compliment to Toyota and the Tundra truck. Can't say the same about the competition. I average 25-35k miles per year driving, so I see a lot of vehicle issues in that time.

he would have been fine. i didnt notice mine probably for a month or more. i did notice a weird squeak but couldnt figure it out. one day i was just doing a visual and i noticed that the coil looked funny. mine didnt sag though, if it did then i would have noticed it sooner, probably due to the bypasses upfront... maybe, idk.

So, just a quick update on this situation-

The spring did break in half. The springs were part of a small defective batch of the 650lb coils and Toytec had stopped selling those many moons ago. Toytec is of course, replacing it.

There isn't a need for anyone to panic here as this seems to be a one-off situation. Hell, I'm on 2 years with zero issues myself.

Just a broken coil spring. Toytec is replacing both just to be on the safe side. We will have it ready Monday morning.

Dang! Beat me to posting the pics! Appreciate @Toy-Crawlers and ToyTec jumping all over this to get it fixed. Excellent and top notch service and attention from both. I'm sure Eibach had a hand in this too. @Sean266, hats off to you homie; thanks for making calls and being attentive to your members. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes too!
