Just bought a 2000 and already dont like that I need to use the key to open fuel door. I have searched the forum and google'd it with no luck. Do they make a push button type latch to replace the key lock?

Never seen one. Try fabbing one up on your own. You can stab an old key tip in the lock cam and glue a turn knob stabbed into the other end which will act as your opener.

Left caps on, and didn't notice until I looked up. Correcting the first letter was easier. Didn't think I'd offend anybody, since this isn't a Prius forum. Live and learn.

I wouldn't mind having a locking door on my '06. Not having a flat door drives me nuts.

It's getting old, but I'm concocting removing the inside lock, and add a cabinet push release. The older comment is correct. They just drill your plastic tank nowadays.

Thanks for the welcome BTW. Found an 00 with 107K for $5000. Then found 4 new 4runner wheel and tire takeoffs for $450. It's been hilarious how I've been finding deals. Previous owner cut the muffler on back off. Found a full Bosal muffler / exhaust pipe / midpipe assembly for $62.99 from of all places, Summit Racing. Bolted right on. Got a slightly used Kenwood android auto on Ebay for $200. Easiest radio install I've ever done. I could sell this truck for $11K if I wanted. Crazy.

Wonder if 2000 has ATF cooler?

Give him something more real to worry about. :D

I just replaced one of the key locks on an outside compartment on my camper with one of these. I don't need the security, and it was a PIA to have to get the key every time I needed to open it.

It might look a little out of place on a truck gas door.

I think I'd be more inclined to add low profile knob and a friction catch or stick on magnet.

The one inside the radiator that has the issue with the line on the drivers side? Yeah. But looking inside the radiators inlet, it's clean as all hell at the silver tubes and has the Toyo Red ATF. I'm assuming someone replaced it, but I can't tell a replaced radiator from an OEM. Got any ideas? There is a flat spot for an OEM sticker right in the middle, but no sticker. Denso radiator on Amazon has that too. I looked at previous threads, but didn't see anything on how to tell OEM from aftermarket. All hose clamps are original.

Rear seat delete, onboard air, wobble wayfinder, ultimate drawer system, center console, put the pamp in glamper shell, and some I'll NEVER tell...
I just use a few rare earth magnets from harbor freight to hold it shut and pry it open with the key when I get gas...cheap alternative, no issues and if anyone wants to get in, they will manage to do so anyways.
