I installed a Koyorad radiator last year in my Gen 2 last October (2019). I’ve since developed a leak which initially we (the dealer and I) thought was coming from the lower radiator hose. I had it replaced and it still leaks. Upon further examination it appears that the weld has failed (see pics) and is rusting and leaking. The radiator is one year old. Koyo’s website states there is an 18 month warranty on manufacturer’s defects, but my first call to them didn’t go as I had hoped. They stated that the warranty only applies to wholesalers? Anyhow, I’ve escalated to the next level with Koyorad so we’ll see how it plays out. Has anybody had any experience with Koyorad’s products and/or customer service?ATTACH=full]498764[/ATTACH] 4FE54EB1-7F9B-47BC-86A5-88FAE3584D5A.jpg680374FB-CB1C-4E34-8C74-67215BB9F0B8.jpg 4FE54EB1-7F9B-47BC-86A5-88FAE3584D5A.jpg

    Side question:

Did you unbolt the fan or leave it and remove shroud from old radiator?

Just wanted to let everybody know that Koyo honored their warranty and has offered a free replacement or refund. I am waiting to see if their warranty is extended to the replacement for 18 months or if it’s from the date of the original purchase. I’ll take the refund and go OEM if the warranty clock isn’t reset. I’ll post what happens.

JBA shorty headers / Koyorad stainless radiator / Belltech street performance lowering struts, shocks / Airlift 72000 wireless air leveling compressor / Firestone air bags.
I too bought a koyorad for my 2nd gen. after the plastic OEM sprang a leak in April 2020. Last weekend I noticed my coolant level was low so I started looking around. Initially it seemed to be leaking from between the lower hose and nipple but after seeing your pictures it’s the same dam place! A quick internet search shows more of the same. 21 months of light duty freeway miles, very disappointing!!!!!
