Finally got a jack that will work without using wood blocks.

 

Gas tank straps finally replaced today. Cranked the impact setting back to "1" and no bolts were broken.

And here's a look at the gas tank guard after replacing the straps.





The "good" strap i.e. the one that didnt break (yet). It was also replaced.

Nice jack! I’ve been eyeing one of those for awhile. Where do you plan on storing it?

 

Right now it's on the floor of the back seat. Need to save up for the mount then fab up a way to mount jack upright in the bed next to my spare.

Got the ranchhand summit full bumper guard and rear summit bumper installed today.

We just got back from a long weekend in the smoky mountains.

 

I picked up a pair of the Morimoto fogs. They fogged, they told me to pound sand. YMMV...

 

These are on my list of upgrades. The Toyota OEM lights were $1700 a piece! Morimoto has a 5 year warranty.

 

I've only seen condensation on the Alpharex Pros, which come with halogen bulbs. Most change them out to LED bulbs and may not have sealed the connections properly. There is an Alpharex thread here about the lights which has mostly good things about it. alpharex does make a Nova series which is both led low beam and high beam like the Morimoto but it cost similar. The Sequoia led lights and filler panel along with harness can be had for around $1,800 new, which is steep but that is the way I would go. Rather than have buyer's remorse down the road.

 

Yeah the Sequoia headlights look awesome, but when I priced it up it was way more than I wanted to spend on headlights lol. If it were a newer truck I knew I would keep for a long time I may have done it, but I usually tend to go through vehicles like crazy.

 

Got to do this fun job. Gonna give the silicone a day to cure and hope it doesn’t leak.

Did you return the toothbrush to your child? That would've been the polite thing to do, setting a good example of sharing too.

 

pulled the truck into the bay at work and finally put it in after it sat in my glove box for the past two oil changes...

 

I need to do that and replace the wheel. It’s falling apart

 

Love it! If I could find a front bumper like that without the grill guard I'd be very interested in doing the same. My rear bumper is dented up towards the right side up to the tailgate and needs to be replaced.
