x2. Great product for removing scuffs. Cheap, readily available, and very effective. Next best thing to machine polishing in my opinion.

I'm new at this so here is a dumb question: I just clayed my wifes new to her 2018 Pilot. Should I wax with carnauba and then treat with the Griots 3n1 or just do the 3n1 only? The car will be sitting in the garage for at least 4 more days.
The 2018 was bought used and it does not look/feel/bead water like it has had either in some time.

I have some that I could send you a 4oz bottle to try. It is a very good sealant....I've used it a fair amount. Personally, I think their SIO2 version of this sealant is better....but if you want something free to try...PM me your address.

Have any of you guys ever tried Jescar Bead-it? As I've mentioned before, I'm a big fan of Power Lock but would love to have a quicker, easy maintenance product (spray) to use in between coats similar to Griot's 3-1 but that would work with the Power Lock. Power Lock is long lasting, but the sun here is so intense it will degrade anything quicker than most places.
So, while looking around for something that would bond with my beloved Power Lock I found this:

Can or should I use iron x product for paint after doing a rinse less wash (optimum no rinse) then doing the another rinse less wash?

I wouldn’t use it with a rinseless wash. Very important that you get it all off with a pressure washer.

Bought a bottle based on a review by Apex Detail, and the fact that Detailed Image had a sale + a free t-shirt. It is very easy to use, and similar to Bead Maker. It is slick, not Bead Maker slick. I applied it as a topper to WGDGPS on a friend's car, with very good results. It is worth trying, especially if there's anything to brand synergy.

Cerakote and bead maker contributing to the bead action. Truck is dirty. But had to push it out to program a garage door app I got on prime day, so it got drizzled on.

I did 2 coats of Griot's 3-1 on my wheels last week. Do you think this is good winter protection, or is it worth doing Dlux as well?

That is definitely from the clay mitt. You either had very little lubrication or were applying too much pressure. You can only remove that with polishing.

This showed up today. I'm about 1.5 months since my last coat of Power Lock, so perfect timing. I'll probably wash the truck this weekend and give it a try. Hopefully it'll work well to maintain between my usual rounds of the Power Lock.

Seeing as you are in NE Ohio, I'm guessing your winters are pretty bad. I like 3 in 1, but I think you may be asking too much of it to get through all the snow and road salt you must run into. I'd give the Griots a month or two, and then remove whatever is left and go with DLux. Then you might be okay

Haven’t come across this before, but love Powerlock. I know a ton of guys use Collinite over Powerlock, wonder if this is a better option since it’s the same brand. Looking forward to your results.

That's what I'm hoping. I just stumbled upon it on Jescar's site promoted as just that, something to use over Power Lock

I wonder how it will work seeing that its sio2 over polymer, most combos of layering seem to work best with sio2 as the base layer as it generally bonds best to very clean paint. Im hoping this works out though, powelock is a great sealant!

I was thinking the same, it wouldn't bond and be a waste. But, since the company itself made a point of bringing it up and it's cheap enough, and as a spray-on it should be relatively quick and easy, I figured I'd give it a shot. All this plus the fact that @briarpatch (who is much above my detailing abilities) mentioned he had tried it with decent results made it a worthwhile experiment for me.

Washed my truck last night and used the griot’s pfm drying towel. I thought it would soak up the whole truck but I had to wring it out 3-4 times - is that typical? Should I grab a couple other cheaper options as backups - maybe from the rag company?
