Well pressure switch started short cycling, started digging into it and found the pressure tank failed as well. Gotta replace a couple fittings in the summer. New one cycles way better and more water pressure.

I haven't seen galvanized pipe that nice in years, most of it around here looks like it was used to bludgeon hookers and tossed into a pond before being repurposed as plumbing.

I hooked up a tow strap to the half dead unknown flowering bush that was over 16 foot high and yanked it out with the Tundra. Had my wife up on the deck recording the hi-jinks with intent of posting it here. When I looked at the video it was only 2 seconds of her thumb.
    So...

Finally after months of waiting my floor tile showed up, now the fun begins.

Still waiting for our kitchen backsplash tile to show up.

Contractor brought his ac guy over yesterday to take a peek at the ducting in the attic since we are eliminating the soffit in the kitchen and master bath so the ducting needs to be rerouted. He said it looks good to proceed and didn't find any obstacles. Also found a storage unit this morning about 3 miles away which I grabbed. Great deal on a 14x30 unit. Much better than going with multiple 10x10 units which is all I could find at other locations. The lady in the office said the 14x30 just became available and are not easy to come by. It was actually cheaper than two 10x10 units go figure... anyways demo starts on November 2nd. More to come.

Picked up the subway tile today for the shower and bathtub surround. One vanity and countertop arrived this weekend. Also got a utility sink from Costco to install in the garage.

Had the sprinklers blown out and then came the snow.....naturally after it hit 12 degrees outside and a foot of snow, water heater decided it didn't wanna work. Thankfully was just a dirty flame sensor, quick fix with some sandpaper and boom! no more ignite, run for 3 seconds and die loop!

The dowel is what holds the joint together. No glue, nails, or screws. They will be cut down and stick out about 2" on both sides.

Do us a favor, take them apart, take some pics and put it back together.

    :D

As for me, I've been replacing broken sprinkler heads and clogged sprinkler line in the front yard. Gotta do it since the yard is dug up.

Productive day. Got the sprinkler system running. There’s sprinkler heads I didn’t even know existed on the side of my house. Problem is there isn’t enough water pressure in the front. There’s 18 heads in front, but on that same line, there’s four heads in the backyard. So 22 heads total. I’m gonna dig a few up front that are unnecessary and cap them.

On the left there’s 4 heads about a foot above the ground. Apparently there used to be a bush in that corner. So I’m gonna cap 3 of them. Then two more in the planter against the porch. It wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t digging through rock hard clay.

Took advantage of the ‘not frozen’ weather today and had a buddy help me drop a few trees. One one topped by a storm years ago (so said the neighbor) and had been dead before then. The other smaller middle two were uprooted from the past wind storm we had and we waiting for some snow load to bring them down onto my garage I’m sure.
