What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Excited that finally all my parts came in and will instal next week Wednesday 10/28. Pics to follow

Thanks Mike, it’s actually a land locked striper, our hybrids are more like footballs...shorter but thicker from belly to back...and got it on a top water frog in 60 ft ...all joking aside I caught her on an A-rig in 25 ft...saw her on my Lowrance LiveSight and threw to her, watched her hit it like I was playing a video game, it was awesome

 

I think I'm still waiting on the molle board that goes near your right leg. It's been about 6 weeks so far. This reminds me I need to follow up. After all that roof rack stuff going on, I've done away with Victory, but nobody else makes that molle board so I had to get it. I see some molle in your bed. Is that Victorys as well?

 

How do you like that WeBoost? Wife wants to get one. I am reading mixed reviews. Is it gimmicky, or does it really work?

 

That's awesome. Yeah it looked like you might have been in fresh water and having caught hybrids in an undisclosed reservoir much of my life growing up I thought it might have been one too. It looked pretty big for one so I wasn't sure. Great fish though. That's cool with the finder too, unfortunately most of my fishing has been without one.

 

Ordered my Katzkin leather today with install scheduled next week. Katzkin's Tundra "factory" leather - black with black stitching, no perforations, and the cheapest option.

I was jealous of all you 2019 / 2020 guys with the OEM LED headlights so I converted my 2017 SR5 today with a set of the black housing OEMs.
The stock halogens on these trucks are terrible.
WOW what a difference in looks! Can't wait for it to get dark today so I can see what they do.
Now on to the LED fogs!

Dear God!.....these headlights are like night and day vs the stock halogens. What a worthwhile upgrade in function and looks!
If you were thinking about it and on the fence upgrading your nonLED truck ..... Jump off on the LED side.
I rode around on dark country roads and they just power down the road and give awesome side to side coverage. Then the high beams are like weapons.....good gravy. If you are going up a hill you could probably bring down a plane with them LOL
I made sure my motor dial was set to the highest zero setting prior to install so I could only adjust them downward in my 6" lifted truck.
It worked perfectly and the adjustment was spot on to get them down out of oncoming driver's eyes.
The old halogens were honestly the worst headlights I've had in a truck......worst to best.
Best investment I've ever made for the truck.
You guys with these headlights stock are spoiled!!

I just watched your 10" DD video on your channel. Did you decide to install the resonator? How was the drone?

I went to costco and bough 4 6qt boxes of mobil1 0w20 because i needed an oil change. They're on sale for $26 right now, so i buy a bunch, and a couple filter kits off Amazon (oem ones)

Fast forward to today, i bring the truck in to Toyota for an oil change, let them know the oil and filter is in the back seat. They say ok, and say it'll be $20 for labor (normal oil change is $90 i think). Sounds good. Once its done i check the dipstick to make sure fresh oil is in there, and it is, take a peek in the back seat, and there are two unopened boxes of mobil1 and the unopened filter. Dummy's didn't even use the oil i bought. OEM oil is full synthetic for the tundra so all should be good.

 

And I’m sitting at dealership waiting for an hour+ for a $60 oil change. Damn I need to just get back into habit of doing it myself

I used to like doing my own, the only thing I hated was hauling the old oil off. It would sit in the garage and I would look at it and say, I need to bring that today.

 

This finally came in. It was ordered 07/25 and ultimately showed up today, 10/23!

 

Loaded her up with wood for a small wood rack we have to burn in a small fire pit. A cold front is coming through now, so hopefully be able to burn some tomorrow and be outside and not carried off by mosquitos! Truck didn't squat much either with the bed filled

Bike rack.

 

Isn't it easier, & less likely for them to get damaged, if they were in the bed? I mean shit, it is a truck!

 

It is a four bike rack system. Even though the biking season is pretty much ended here, I am still stoked because we still get to use it at least once tomorrow being our next to last biking venture with the kiddos.

 

Perhaps so... we had been doing exactly just that previously and sometimes it’s tricky to not mess up components on the bikes... just got old and this is a nice upgrade...

 

Yea these electronics are crazy nowadays, almost like cheating

thank you!...no resonator, the sound is perfect for me without it...drone is almost unnoticeable to me, wife and kids don’t even mention it...towing is no concern either, thanks for watching the video!
