2011 Tundra, 4.6v8, 2wd, not lifted, 128k miles, original shocks. Time for new ones? Bilstein 5100 for a softer ride? NEVER OFF ROAD.

Way past time for shocks. Are you trying to level? I would suggest 6112 rather than 5100 as the 5100s do not ride as well. If you are staying stock I am sure you could score some trd off road shock takeoffs for little $. Anything new at this point would be an improvement I am sure.

Both of the springs on my '08 TRD front shocks have broken, and I need to replace them to pass inspection. If anyone has a set of those TRD takeoffs they want to part with, I would be interested. PM me.

If you discover the hidden cache of takeoff TRD suspensions, please let me know. I've been looking everywhere and can't find any.

I would go with Bilstein 4600's all around. Not adjustable, but a good ride.

Yes sir, stock black Toyota shocks or 4600 series Bilstein shocks for the smoothest ride.

What tires are you using, tires have more to do with ride quality than shocks.

I need to get new Bilstein shocks for the front of my 2020 Tundra. I like to go off-road but carefully, what model number do you recommend for that? I already have a leveling kit installed so not trying to go any higher just looking to replace my broken front shock with better. Thanks

There seem to be the occasional set of low mileage 3rd gen Bilstein takeoffs (some in the classifieds now, I think) that are a good way to go. I went with the 5100 because I had a $100 off coupon, so they cost about the same as yellow Bilsteins, but have the adjustable perch height.

    Alot of them

Yep they are probably shot. When I put my lift on my 13, my rears were flat at 94,000.
