    Kit arrived today already.
Still waiting for the other (quiet) muffler to arrive from Summit. That should be here tomorrow.

I work Mon-Thurs... so will probably tackle this project Friday morning.

I am tempted to get started on it tonight after work... but the old man in me says not to bite off more than I can chew at one time.
I need enough time to fab/weld whatever unforseen things may arise... so Friday AM makes more sense.

I had decent luck with my Amazon kit that cost $250 to my door. Was basically a TRD knock off kit but with mandrel bent piping I was ok with it. The sound was great too, not loud but enough to know it wasn't stock.

Good Luck with your build !!

Yeah I really only bought this for the mandrel bent pipes.
After clicking the "buy it now" button... I saw they sell a kit minus the muffler. I probably could have saved a few $$$ that way... but now I will have two mufflers to try and can sell the one I dont use.

I've bought kits from Performance Curve before. Mostly for jeeps. This kits generally fit well, however the piping was the aluminized stuff that didn't last long with Utah winters.

Let us know how it goes.

Im in GA so it will last forever. Nothing rusts down here.
The bigger muffler I ordered is stainless... so at least that.

Ill be welding most of it solid anyway. The only place that clamps will be used is where the tailpipes meet the muffler.

Im not using the kit-supplied muffler for exactly this reason.
The larger stainless muffler I ordered is supposed to be an OEM replacement for GM trucks. I dont expect any drone from it.

I had a set of Flowmasters on my supercharged Vette years ago and the drone was terrible.

    Woo hoo !!!

Exhaust is on and it sounds fantastic !

I'd even venture to say it's as quiet or quieter at idle/low RPM as the stock single exhaust. I honestly think it has LESS drone than the factory single... which I noticed, does have just a little.

It has a nice mellow tone and deep rumble when you get on it... but ZERO drone and no raspy crap. VERY QUIET during light throttle cruise.

This is what a factory OEM dual exhaust would/should probably sound like.

Took me exactly 2hrs start to finish. 500pm to 700pm.

Sorry no pics. It got dark and I had to take it for a spin.

    I'll update with pics tomorrow.

The kit fit fantastic with the stainless muffler I bought.
Since the muffler was several inches longer, I had to chop the difference off the first two pipes that bolt-up to the factory pipes.

I opted to use the clamps instead of welding it just to speed-up the install process since I had just gotten home from a very busy 10hr shift at work.

This kit was VERY nicely made. Perfect mandrel bends and the lengths/hangers/etc... were perfect.
I didn't need to do any modifying at all. (other than shortening the two pipes for the longer muffler)
Just pre-hung everything loosely to get a rough idea where to shorten the front pipes... cut those pipes and hung it all underneath.
This kit is not a simple "bolt-on" like the TRD or DD kits, but if you have a little mechanical background and common sense, this is easy-peasy.

I'm super thrilled with how it turned out.
I have a total of approx $450 into the entire system, including the extra muffler.
I can sell the chambered muffler on FB marketplace or Craigslist for $50 and call it good.

lol... go start a truck with stock exhaust and thats what it sounds like at idle.

Volume only goes up with hard acceleration. :burnrubber:

I'll see about getting pics/video tomorrow after work or Friday.

Drove 24 miles to work this morning.
This kit is absolutely worth the time and money.
Truck definitely has a noticeable increase in power across the RPM range, most obvious at upper RPM's. Feels like the truck got a tune now.
Pulls clean and revs harder at WOT. No loss of bottom end torque at all like so many complain about with the fully split dual systems that need an X-pipe or H-pipe. (TRD)
This was exactly why I chose a dual-in / dual-out muffler... as it acts like a merge/H-pipe internally.

There is a very minor drone between 1600-1800 RPM at highway cruising speed when the motor is lugging on grades. Nothing major, but still worth noting in my critique. Its best described as an amplified version of the stock exhaust... since there is already a minor drone from the OEM system.
I do not forsee any issue with it because its barely noticeable.
Also keep in mind... Im on 35" tires with stock gearing.
A geared truck or one on a stock diameter tire probably wont drone at all.

On the flipside... I think its quieter than stock exhaust at idle and light cruising.

Theres enough slop for it to fall out of there.
I will never stuff a 35" tire under the truck.
I carry a plug kit, toolbox and air compressor if needed.
