I traded a 2018 CM for a 2020 DC. I will go through my pros and cons list.

    CM Pros:
    Massive cabin space for passengers
Roll down rear to window to make fun of the other trucks as you pass them on the highway
Back seat is an awesome toolbox
Looks way better than a DC
    Higher Resale value

    CM Cons:
Bed space is extremely limited (I don't have a trailer)
If you dont have people in your truck everyday the back seat is useless
Zero under seat storage from factory

    DC Pros:
Larger bed space (I needed this for dogs)
Backseat is large enough for full grown adults
    Higher towing/payload depending on options

    DC Cons:
    Resale value
Not going to take this on long trips with adults

The perfect truck would be a CM with a 6.5ft option. It is ridiculous they don't offer it but maybe on the next Gen. I reviewed my life style and decided I needed a larger bed for the dogs and gear instead of the backseat for passengers.

    I hope this helps

I debated myself. Got dc and am so glad for my situation. Key clinch point for me was that the rear cab on the DC was still bigger than the SUV rear seat that we never complained about or thought too small when we had young family (that is what was being replaced). And many times it's just the front being occupied now as kids have grown. I'm glad I have the extra bed space. I have a trailer too.

    Just my situation and preference.

I have the 6.5’ bed and it fits in the garage (barely!). Kids all up and gone so don’t need extra leg room.

One is better for hauling people and some stuff; other is better and hauling stuff and some people.

I had anF-150 with 5.5’ bed and every single time I wanted to haul a bunch of stuff I regretted having the shorter bed. I could almost fit as much stuff in the cab as I could the bed!

I have two kids 9 and 11 at the time I bought the truck so they will around us for another 8 or more years. We use it for long trips so CM is the must.

Forgot to mention, my kids like the cm truck more than my other two vehicles 2014 Sienna and 2007 RX400H.

Is it just me? I know what I want for my needs and simply buy it. Sure, I'll check out reviews if needed an glean as much info found here for example but I've never ever asked "which or what" should I buy......:der:

Just my .02 but seems like the seat folding down in the dc (vs up in the cm) would be a con.

I went with the CM because:
    1) wanted sunroof
    2) wanted the roll down back window
    3) plenty of room for children

I do use the bed, but if I ever felt that I needed the extra foot of bed space, I'll get the Amp Research bed extender.

There is a very quite simple mod to allow the DC seat to fold down. The search button here can be your friend........

Have had Tundras with both, and have never hauled anything in my DC that I couldn’t haul in my current CM.

However find tons of instances where the extra interior room (especially locked / covered) has been more of a benefit.

Roll down rear also can’t be praised enough. Sunroof open, rear window down, and still have side windows up is SOOO nice.

I only went CM because the wife and I want two kids (first is 5 weeks old) and I heard you can't really put two car seats in the back of a DC. Otherwise, I prefer the looks, 6.5 ft bed and storage under the rear seat of the DC. The full roll down rear window of the CM is nice but requires me to remove the front window of my canopy to use.

It’s strange - folks rave about the CM because of the cab space, roll down window and sunroof. Nothing related to a pickup such as payload, towing capacity, hauling ability.

    It’s a minivan in disguise!

Love my DC. Had a buddy sit in the back recently and he was surprised how comfortable it was. I bet the back seat is bigger than most car back seats.
For me, I wanted a bigger bed.
    1. Price
    2. Bed space
    3. It doesn’t look like a modified SUV with a tiny bed (personal opinion - don’t )
