Anyone have luck with the cheap Light bars that are on Amazon? I have a Nilight one on my 4 Wheeler but it doesnt see a ton of use so its been working fine. Id like to get something for my lower grill and spending $300+ isnt in the budget right now. Any opinions out there?

I have 4wdking pod lights and nilight led light bar. They don't get a lot of use so I'm fine with them. It works ok, I also put some silicone around the lights just to be sure water doesn't leak in. Nilight is sold by Amazon and Walmart, not just as a third party seller, I would buy the nilight over 4wdking. If I lived in an area where there is no street lights and need the extra lightning, I would pay more for better quality lights.

What brackets did you use to mount it? It looks good and I like how you were able to retain the grill in front of it.

I used these. I think the Cali Raised ones are a little beefier, but they did the job and I didn't have any problems getting them to fit.

I bought Auxbeam lightbar from Amazon for my lower grill. Been probably a year now with no issue but doesn't get as much use either

Another question for you guys......Did you disassemble and silicone it to make it weather proof and what wiring harness did you end up using? Thanks again!

I did not on my Auxbeam, I used the wiring harness that it came with but cut it up to wire directly to a switch

Thats the struggle Im having...I live in a rural area that I would really like to have the extra light in hopes of keeping deer off the road. I should probably just bite the bullet and get the Caliraised setup but its double the cost.

I have a $50 off Amazon, does the job but if I was driving dirt or rural road at night all the time, I’d drop the money for a premium (Baja Designs or Rigid....maybe Heretic) bar. Just at bright or brighter in smaller packages

I was just on the Caliraised website and Im at $272 out the door for the whole setup. The install video on youtube leaves a bit to be desired but I may just bite the bullet and pay once, cry once.

Honestly, Caliraised lights aren't that impressive. They're fine, probably a step or two above the Amazon cheapies, but definitely not on the same level as Rigid, Diode Dynamics, Baja Designs, etc. I'd say either go cheap, with the understanding you'll potentially be replacing or repairing the bar ahead of schedule, or bite the bullet and get one of the bigger name bars... I only got mine for occasional off-road use and I live in a dry climate, so a cheap bar made sense for me. It sounds like you're going to rely on it quite a bit more, though.

I would go with Rigid or baja designs. Not sure how the diode dynamics light bars are but the pod lights are amazing, as you would know since you have the fogs from them.

This reminds me, Rigid usually has their sidewalk sale around this time of year... maybe I'll have to pay attention to that and snag a bar or two, if they actually do it this year. Not sure what will happen with covid in the mix.
