I've had a lot going on around my place, kitchen, bathrooms and shop. Here is a picture of some cabinets I just put in. They're the 10 piece New Age Cabinets from Costco. Not completely finished. I have to attach the work top, bolt the uppers together, and put in the lights. PXL_20201013_005904487.jpg

Did some thinking and heard some advice from a friend who had bamboo and decided to re-pot it. So I went to the Home Despot and picked up a larger plastic pot than the one it came in with no holes in it and repotted it. Also decided that's how I'm going to do that whole area.

I'm gonna need some specs on this. Overall width, height, depth and quality. Thanks.

    Good call.
Planting bamboo in the ground is a forever decision. It spreads insanely fast and you'll never be able to get rid of it if you feel like a change.
My grandparents had an entire wall of bamboo on one side of their house. I had a lot of found memories as a kid climbing through it feeling like a jungle.
Nothing wrong with it, but just want to make sure you know what your getting into. A 2' deep root barrier would do the trick if you want to plant it. It would definitely give you privacy

Got the flooring ripped out. Subflooring is good, just a couple damp spots where water leaked through, but nothing bad. If I can find the same flooring, I'll grab it. If not, I'll replace with vinyl. We'll find out prob tomorrow

Yeah I ordered mine a few weeks ago before they went on sale because Costco offers price adjustments for 30 days. They showed up in a couple weeks beating the 3-4 week lead time. Stickers show they were manufactured in June. Got the workbench and lights installed under the cabinets.

I added one of the myQ garage door app devices from the prime day thread to open and close my garage doors from anywhere. Setup was easy and I didnt even get to finish a beer. The 2nd one shipped separate and will set that one up tomorrow when it comes in.

This could be counted as cleaning up the yard, right? I picked up 14 lbs of pecans from our front yard today. I think it's probably a third of what is still on the tree. Amazing pecans - have an almost buttery flavor.

When I was growing up, my parents had 4 pecan trees. It was awesome, now I'm buying pecans to get my fix :( enjoy!

Spent the entire day working on my downstairs pellet stove. :annoyed: The stove is only 5 years old, and i paid a pretty penny for it, but the last year or two it seems to have acquired a rusting problem. Pulled it all apart, removed all the rust i could, then painted it with high temp paint. At the end of the season last year i noticed i was losing a few pellets from the burnpot that were still burning, and shut it down for the season. :eek2: When i pulled it out today i found the pot had rusted out also.

Anyone here with a pellet stove have rusting problems like mine? I'm thinking of maybe sealing off the flue somehow to see if that stops the rust in the off season,...any thoughts?

Mines 22 years old and never had that issue. Is your exhaust on the side of the house or roof. If it's on the roof do you have a rain cap on it?

Jim, it goes out to the top of my chimney, and yes its capped. I'm thinking that maybe during the summer Months, it still might draw moisture in ?

It is weird, i bought this Quarda-Fire because the wood stove i have upstairs is a Quadra-Fire, and after 20+ years it still looks and runs like a champ. This one, not so much.
