Got a center console from a 2006 Sequoia (with carbon fiber cupholders!!...Not real) and mounted my Rago ditch light brackets with my new Rigid lights, and managed to close the hood on my finger while checking clearance between the hood and cowl, and after my wife freed me my finger was actually fine. I'd say that's the real accomplishment; and going climbing tomorrow.

Front Bilstein 6112 shocks & Bilstein springs. Rear Bilstein 5160 remote Reservoir shocks, Wheeler’s Off-road add-a-leafs. LED lighting. Pioneer Avic 7200NEX Nav Head unit. Borla cat back exhaust.
So I finally got around to upgrading the speakers on my 2006 AC Limited 4wd non JBL. I have a Pioneer Avic 7200 NEX navigation head unit. I recently found some speakers I had bought a few years ago for another vehicle (probably my 4runner that got totaled while parked). So I checked on Crutchfield to verify fit, 6.5" front & 5.25" rear, & they supposedly fit. So i start with the back doors & find they're not 5 25" but 6.5".

I don't know why everyone can't make speakers the same size. With some minor modifications I was able to mount the Infinity Reference 6.5" in the back doors. As is typical, it took about 1.5 hours for the first side and about 25 minutes for the second.

Of course now I don't have any 6.5" speakers for the front. After some searching I found some NOS Polk Audio 6.5" DB6501 separates marine rated for $99.99 / pair. So I start the install on the fronts tonight and 3 hours later I got the passenger side installed. Again if speakers were consistently sized it should've been less than an hour. The Polk's mounting pattern was smaller than the Toyota's. I had 4 different mounting rings, none of which fit, so I had to modify the Toyota's mount by plastic welding to add some plastic so I could drill some new holes to mount the Polk's. What a pain.

Tomorrow I'll tackle the driver's side.

How is it that your frame shows so little corrosion, given that you are in the rust belt? It's as if your car originally came from SoCal.

Changed the oil earlier in the week. Driven about 25 mi. Checked to see if I need to top off, but all good. Dipstick shows oil that is still clean as the day it went in, yay! Now to send off the old stuff to Blackstone Labs.

Meanwhile, while I have the bumper completely off for the snowplow bracket install, the FedEx guy drives up to drop off my Woolwax! I attached the 2' plastic hose extender with "360" spray tip. It was curled up too much to be of any use, had to get a coat hanger to tape to. 360 was a boatload of b.s. It's really just spraying 4 directions. It didn't get everything in one pass. If you don't press squarely down the nozzle, it leaks all over the place. Ugggh.

Oil change today, checked for leaks. Looks like power steering return line has a wee bit of a weep. Will keep an eye on it. Engine and trans are dry as a bone

Not quite a “today,” but made a decision today to get a camper shell. Found a “Swiss Cap” an hour away for $100 which seems like a decent deal but it doesn’t have clamps nor match my salsa red.

Hopefully the clamps I ordered on teh BigGal arrives pretty early tomorrow so I can go grab it with decent daylight. And I hope my wife can help me lift it on the bed.

Dang, we are on the same page build wise. I just got my brackets installed day or so before. What lights did you go with? I'm going to go ahead and say I got Rigid so it doesn't look like I'm copying you.

Added another Toyota to the family yesterday; a 2015 Rav4 Limited for my daughter. It replaced a problem free 2011 CR-V. A woman ran into the back of my daughters CR-V while it was parked and totaled it...

Really clean dealer maintained Ga vehicle with great records.

This weekend has consisted of inner & outer tie rod ends, upper & lower ball joints, rack bellows and 5100’s.

When it’s time to replace those ubj again, there isn’t a doubt in my mind that I’ll just buy SPCs or something else. I have never been so frustrated in my life as I was pressing the new one in. Oh well, gonna have to run her in for an alignment tomorrow.
