    Hello all,

New to the forum and quite honestly, modding trucks, but about to take delivery on Monday of my mid-life crisis toy, a 2021 Silver Sky Metallic Limited 4x4 Tundra CM.

The truck is being delivered with the 20" wheel package (unfortunately I did not get Off-Road package...supply/demand here in in SoCal is tough and I didn't want to wait any longer) which I want to swap out to something that's more applicable to the outdoor lifestyle I live: camping, fishing, exploring/light overlanding...but not intense rock crawling. I live in Southern California and hit Mammoth, Tahoe, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Sequoia's, etc. often. About the only weighty items I plan to add in the next couple of months will be the RSI Smart Canopy, and some rock sliders or steps. Other than that, I want a straight forward and clean build.

I've been reading through the chains trying to make sense of what my approach should be knowing that for now I can only afford to get some wheels/tires and then plan on doing the suspension in 4-6 months.

So here's where I need the guidance of you pros:
    - Is it ok for me to do the wheels/tires now and suspension later? Do I HAVE to do them at the same time?
    - Can I get away with a leveling kit or do I need a full-on lift knowing the aforementioned outdoor activities I enjoy?
    - If I can do wheels/tires only for now, I am wanting the method 316's in Gloss Titanium and probably the Falken Wildpeak AT3.
    - What is the largest size wheel/tire I should get that will fill out the wheel well nicely (wouldn't mind the tires sticking out a wee little bit to help with the stance) know that when I DO get a lift kit, it will probably be something along a 2" lift?
    - Can I get away with a leveling kit?

Now...I know as I type/read this I'm all over the place and that I probably need to do wheels/tires/suspension all at the same time, or, at least start with suspension first, then do wheels/tires later, but I'm just trying to get the truck to a visual place I have in my mind's eye without dropping all the $ up front.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you kindly.

you will have a difficult time fitting larger tires without getting a lift. really, it is best to do both the lift and tires at the same time.

I would go with a good set of shocks- Bilstein 6112s front with 5160s work good for me. There are many options and it will take a little research to figure out what is best for you. From what I have taken out of your comments above I would not go with a leveling kit.
