    Function before sparkle.
Just an update on my side. I finally did the install on these. After waiting for the replacement piece they sat in my garage because I was too busy. So instead I picked the first snowfall of the year to work with the garage door open.

After getting the drivers door done and testing it out (which were a bit buggy - not sure why) I decided I didn’t like it closing with the power lock feature. I just don’t think it’s a smart idea up north as I park outside at the office (if I every actually go back) and it’s common to be totally iced up. I know there is a safety release so it doesn’t break but I didn’t want to deal with it. So I completely disconnected that part - maybe I’ll rewrite it one day. I know that was a major selling point for many, including myself but I decided to play safe.

As for the pins, I ended up going the opposite of what KTJO recommends. I went:

    PIN 7 = green
    PIN 8 = blue

The reason in the end was silly. I wanted to push in the button to close the mirrors and the button out all the way that keep them out. That way the natural state is the button is out. Don’t know why but it felt unnatural the other way so I swapped them out.

This was a good mod for me, but only because I was able to score a set of never used (still had the stickers on them) take off mirrors for $100 CAD.

PS. I didn’t wire the puddles.

Were you actually able to get the mirrors to function with the power locks. I have not been able to get this function to operate. Not sure what I am doing wrong, or what else i need to do to get this option to work with the power locks.

I dont think it actually works. You have to wire something into the connector near the door handle but my harness didn't have the necessary stuff to do that.

I have mine working with the lock/unlock function. You should have gotten the pieces to connect it to the power door lock connector.

Unfortunately I did not, but I'm not too worried about it actually. I prefer just the button. One less electrical thingy to malfunction or worry about.

Look at post 68 and 72. That's where me and @thomasbus337 connected ours to work.

Yes, I was able to get it to work. There was an adapter included to plug into the drivers side door lock harness.

Since I removed that function I also changed the power module to connect to switched power instead of constant. It means I have to ensure the mirror close cycle finishes before turning off the truck but it also 100% eliminates any parasitic power drains from the controller. Something that I always like to minimize.

"All of the plugs are pretty self-explanatory except for this one. It plugs into the blue on the bottom of the drive side kick panel." Having trouble seeing where you actually put those 2 wires..

I was trying to make the connection to the blue plug on the drivers floorboard but it appears nothing I have fits.
I am thinking all these single row ones plug into the switch?
and then the one with all the black wires????

Also I have two add a fuses, is this right? Are you supposed to have two?

You're welcome! I'm in Korea right now and my truck is in Cali. I'll be back in Cali in Sept.

I'm doing everything by memory right now. I should be able to help more once I get. I know that doesn't help you now, but I'll do what I can.

Thanks for the help. I am not sure if the kit has changed or not but none of the connectors I have would connect to the blue connection on the drivers side footwell area.

Is there supposed to be two add a fuses?

Also the other wire loom does it all connect to the switch?

I kept blowing a fuse and gave up today.

All the plugs plug at switch besides the all black wired one which goes in door handle .. and the small plugs with 2 wires feed the mirror them selves

Where did you put your add a fuse?

I had everything plugged in except the door handle ones as I really don't want the locks to move the mirrors and I keep blowing a fuse.

Use the 7.5 tail fuse slot.. the fuse panel is in drivers side kick panel... If you keep blowing fuses it's hooked up wrong..
