2004 AC 2WD TRD Offroad value?

Hello everyone. I’m currently looking to buy a first generation tundra. Came across a 2004 access cab TRD off-road 2WD with 82,000 miles. I’ve been trying to look through the forum to find what A good price would be. It’s been well-maintained although I think it may need a timing belt. What do you guys think? If there are any threads that already addressed this please direct me to them. Thanks in advance!

 

I just sold one of those last year 2004 2wd TRD, mine had 200K on the clock and was in great shape with no issues. New tires, fresh oil change and timing belt done. Sold it for $7250, hope that helps.

How much is the one at which you are looking? Post up pics of the under frame so we can examine for rusty crustys.

 

What state do you live in, or if in Canada where at? That affects price a lot.

At over 15 years old it definitely needs a timing belt and water pump job done, regardless of miles, unless it has been done in the last year or so. That job will run between $800-1200 depending where you take it. Other than that item these trucks don't need much.

2004 is a pretty good year.

A 2WD has no off road value since it is just a 2WD. lol
an 04 with only 82K, with no rust or other major issues, probably around 8-10K depending on where you are.

 

The truck is owned by a friend of my mother in law who’s husband passed several years ago. She doesn’t really know it’s worth so hasn’t set a price. I looked up values on nada and kbb which gave me a range of 5-9k but wasn’t sure what the market is like. Realizing there may be some things that come up like timing belt etc, want a good deal of course but not looking to take advantage. I’ll get some pictures and post them.

 

Yes, I believe a timing belt and water pump will be needed given the miles. I am in Florida

 

Thanks! Yeah I would prefer a 4WD also. May end up getting this for a daily or another family member. I’m in Florida and I believe it has always been a Florida truck so I don’t think it has any rust

 

Here are some pictures. I forgot to snap one of the undercarriage but it is completely rust free. I was told today that she wants $8K

 

How is the interior? 8K is probably high side but if its in good shape with that mileage I don't see how you could get hurt. They are awesome trucks should last you for a very long time with a little cleaning and some maintenance.

 

BUY THIS TRUCK!!!!. If anything it would be a good investment at this price. it would fetch a better price in other areas of the usa with the low miles and no rust. lift that thing and you may just keep it as it has a LOT of life left with some love and tlc......

 

Interior is clean and free off any stains, rip or tears. No Dash cracks. Great shape overall. Forgot to mention it drives and rides great. Near new Michellins. Only thing I could really find is no record of timing belt.

 

I’m definitely considering it. It’s a 2WD but would probably at least do a leveling kit with some slightly larger more aggressive wheels and tires.

 

Looks like it might be leaking coolant, that white residue is a bit excessive.

 

Put a timing belt in it first thing and you should be good to go.
