2003 Tundra Center Console swap with Sequoia

Hey Guys, new to the forum and reading a ton of info!
I have a quick question.. My son has an excellent condition 2003 Tundra SR5 that we would like to put a Sequoia Center floor console in.. I’ve read some about the swap, but can’t find any how to or pics to go by...
My question is this.. Do I need to purchase new brackets to make the swap work and where is the best place to purchase?? Are there any other things required to make the swap??? If anyone has a link to a “how to” or pics, that would be awesome!

Hello and welcome.

I did a console swap from a 2006 double cab. For the most part, it bolted up. It's very easy to remove your old one and the new one mostly bolts up fine. I only used the bracket that is closest to the rear of the console. I've been told that the holes for the front bracket are there but under the carpet and I wasn't willing to find them. Between the rear bracket and front fascia under the dash, it's pretty dang secure. Hands down, I would say this is in the top three mod's I love most about my truck. Pictures can be seen my build thread. @empty_lord did the full swap and bolted all the brackets up .

 

My swap was the access cab console.

 

Okay, I’m looking through your posts, but I can’t find it just yet..
My attempt will be so swap a 2005 Sequoia console to a 2003 Tundra Access can.. I’ve had some body shop guys tell me it will work.. We shall see.. lol
I was just curious if I would need new brackets or if I could secure the new one to the existing brackets..
I really need to find your post.. Pics help a ton!

 

The rear bracket will line up but the rest won’t. You can do what @SouthPaw did Or devise some custom front 2 brackets. The sequoia one is slightly taller and larger than the access cab consokes

 

Good post, this has been bouncing around my head last few days. I'm considering trying to remove the arm rests and build a new taller/wider console.

My dog, used to lay on top of the center console in my old tundra when my bench was folded down, it also was the perfect height for my arm. The captains chairs and little arm rests just aren't cutting it.

 

@empty_lord do you happen to have part #s for the brackets you used? I looked and saw a few possible part #s for brackets and wasn't sure if some worked and others didn't.

 

The double cab rear bracket is the only one that fits. The others do not: they came with my console. So it mounts at the back and the clips up front, that’s it unless you make custom brackets
