swapped in LED's today and went full retard. When I pulled the first bulb out it flew out and went into the headliner. Then my dumbass did it with the second light.

Is the dome light sealed in there or are these things now floating around the headliner?

Which means I answered the question I asked of if the dome light is contained. At least now I have an excuse to sound deadening the ceiling. Anyone have instructions for roof liner removal?

I have a dome light living in there too. Luckily no rattles when I turn.

Below is a drawing from the 2015 manual showing what the headliner looks like on the inside when removed (this drawing is for roof without sunroof - let me know if you need the one with sunroof). After reading the procedure in the manual for headliner removal, I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than take on that job. The procedure starts with removing the scuff plates at the bottoms of the doors. From there, you basically take your interior apart to remove the headliner.
A suggestion to stop the lost bulb from rattling around - drop the roof console box and the room light assembly and stuff a wad of masking or painters tape in several places. Maybe push the wad of tape out to the edges of the roof using a coat hanger or some other flexible/bendable tool, using the drawing to help you avoid any wiring or other internals. On the front edge, you might be able to stuff the tape up to the front edge of the roof with your fingers. If you're lucky, the bulb(s) will roll into contact with the tape and get stuck. The tape and bulb shouldn't hurt anything being up there indefinitely. Just a thought.

The original photo of this drawing is much clearer. If you need to see more detail, PM me and I'll email you the original.

Is it possible to get it out using a magnet? Wonder what metals they use in the bulb.

Note to self- pass on this mod. I don't need or want to ever remove my headliner due in part to a fat finger moment.

The trick is to drop the roof console box and room light assembly before replacing the bulbs. That way you're not working with parts up inside your headliner. Neither is very hard to get out (unlike the headliner).
I screwed up my LED install the first time due to NOT following this advice. However, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again, knowing what I do now. Here's a link to my first time frustrations and some detailed pics I posted showing how to drop the roof console box (I think the removal/install pics are on page two of the thread :
