I love the look. The newer style worked well with existing TSS systems too.

Like the looks of the TRD grille. How do you or where do you now mount the TSS radar on these grills?

depends on what TRD Grill you mount. The older (non honeycomb) TRD grill will require a relocation bracket, there are several available. The newer ones don't require a bracket, but they require a ridiculously expensive honeycomb garnish to fill the hole, which I think looks odd (you can see it in the pic above by AKLA98).

I plastidipped my chrome hood bulge and grille a couple months ago and it wasn't bad but I caved and just bought a 2019 pro grille and matching hood bulge. Id say if you had the money you might as well upgrade but plastidipping isnt a bad option as long as you apply it the first time correctly if you want that blacked out look for 30 bucks

Anyone replace the surround and hood bulge with black when you don’t have a black truck?
I have a 2020 cement and I’m wondering what a 2020 Black pro grill surround and hood bulge would look like with the cement. Would save on the repaint costs.
Might be too much with the metallic black and the flat paint of cement but it still has me thinking about it.

I’m excited for it to come. It will be my final add on.

I just added the TRD dual exhaust today.... I’m in love

Haha I feel the same way. You see all the guys with Plat/Pros or aftermarket suspensions or OEM Pro suspension saying "yeah, but its just like a Pro" I love my pro and think imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'll beat that deaad horse.

But yes! you did the right thing by ordering the Pro grill OP. The stock one has to go.

It's cliche, but looks soooooo good! I'm planning on doing it. Ever since I got my Tundra back in August I see every other Tundra on the road , and honestly I mainly see the black sport honeycomb insert where I'm at. I don't see the '17 pro insert too often.

But watch, now I will see them everywhere lol.

I see them a lot on Tacomas around here. Hell, I had one on mine! But I can’t think of a time when I’ve seen a pro grill on a non pro tundra.

You'd have to find them aftermarket or in a junkyard, I would think.

How long did it take for your grill to ship from cool springs? I just ordered one and Roman emailed me and said it'd be a couple days since they have to special order it. I'm not in a rush, just curious.

Please don't take this the wrong way because I love the pro and it was the plan to one purchasing when I was buying my first Tundra. At the end of 2016 there were none available when I needed a truck ....so the Sales manager said I basically could build one except the stamped letters on the box and don't regret that decision.

To me Toyota should have made the pro far more potent to make it stand out not just a grill insert
and a small suspension upgrade. If fact it should have been loaded up with all the options that the platinum had end then some. To be truly special it should of had more horse power than the standard tundra and possibly had a wide body with far more capable suspension. Hopefully in 2022 Toyota will offer something to compete with the Raptor as a min bench mark.

And if they do I will have one ..... until then I will drive my 1794 Tundra PRO !!

@Bracky more pics please. I just bought a '16 MGM and wow that's a lot of chrome. It's beautiful if I wanted an old man truck. Just not there yet. Trying to decide between honey comb grill or regular pro grill. Did you also have to purchase a good bulge as separate part?
