Need some clarifications

Mine is charcoal as well but the SR model is black. Go figure.

I would have preferred the black insert.

The company I work for is making a grille surround and hood bulge overlay, and will be offering color matching as well. It should be much more affordable than what you are seeing, and it won't mess with the grille sensor so you won't have to worry about it. It's still not going to be available for another 2 months or so, so I don't want to oversell it to you, but that might be an option. Check out the thread real quick. I am thinking about taking the insert from the grill that I pulled off and using some of the leftover SEM trim paint that I did the interior with to see how it turns out.

Package for the hood bulge and grill came in two days ago (Friday), here they are installed. Color match is perfect! Thank you again!

 

Did anyone ever figure out for sure if the Sport grille and Platinum grille are different or not? From photos it seems to me that the Platinum mesh is darker. Would like to confirm this.
