Rear suspension upgrades?

I’ve been looking at some Devers but is that really what I need for a better off-road performance?, my stock leafs have 200k so I think it’s time for a UPGRADE not replacement haha. I also can’t decide on a rear shock I have icons 2.5 coilovers in the front and I don’t know if I want icons rear shocks to match or bilsteins 5160 with the remote reservoir I’m not gonna spend $1,000 plus for icons remote reservoir shock the ONLY reason I have these coils on the front is I got them for under $400 and rebuild them what do you think I should do??

 

Leave it alone until you have a plan really. Front is pretty easy but rear you have to make a few decisions about how soft you want the ride and how much weight you need to carry. Its a bigger commitment.

 

That’s really the point I’m at lol, all I have is this fiberglass tonneau cover rarely ever tow or haul

 

I would give Deaver a call and have them suggest a plan for you. We get a ton of good information from this site, but sometimes the best route is just chatting with the company about your goals and plans.

Curious to see what you end up doing. I too will be making that call shortly.

 

Could I run these deavers with the bilstein 5160?

I’m all the way down the rabbit hole on this one with hammer hangers, shackles and a shock relocation kit, and have looked at those Deavers. Those should fit in the stock location just fine. When I emailed Seaver about them they told you lose a significant amount of payload, flip side is they should ride and flex awesome

 

How tf are you supposed to tighten the top of the shock?? It keeps free moving and I can’t get pilers on it help!!

 

isn't there a hex recess at the top of the threads to prevent it from spinning?
